Nice thoughtful reaction. One educational point for you, be careful not to refer to sexual orientation or gender identity as a choice. This is how people are born and and the idea of them as a choice has often been used as a way to pass judgement by those who are fearful and hateful, particularly religious groups who want to demonize the LGBTQ+ community. I know you don't feel that way or have that viewpoint at all, but I thought it was worth mentioning because some people could be hurt or offended by that word choice and I know that you wouldn't wan that. I agree with you that Ncuti Gwata who plays Eric is a very talented young actor. That storyline was a very real and scary one because many gay and trans people have been brutalized or even killed for just being in the world. I also loved the "I am Spartacus" moment with the vagina photo at the end. It was great to see all of the girls (and guys) come together to support the unknown vagina owner, even if it was possibly someone who had been cruel to them in the past. Great solidarity and growth to show that distributing graphic images of someone without their permission is a major violation that should not be tolerated. Otis was kind of awful to Eric at the end there. Not only did he not immediately notice that something was very wrong and go on about Maeve, but he also lashed out and yelled back at his friend who had just had a hate crime committed against him. Not a good look.
