2021-03-24 04:07:55 +0000 UTCIts not that crazy for Martha to have a baby, shes about 42-43 ish. Its not super recomended to have children at this age but its not at all uncommon in some countries. I know a guy in Greece actually whos mom had him at 46, now that hes 20 his mom is the same age as my grandmother (who had my mom at 17). The Chloe/Lana/Clark saga makes sense because they know each other forever, since they were little kids. When you grow up in a small town you end up knowing the same people for most of your life unless you move away. When you are kids a crush is a big deal since its the first ever feelings of this kind that you expirience and as you grow older into teens its hard to see the same people in a different way. It all makes perfect sense and is done quite well, small town life really be like that.

2021-03-21 08:20:01 +0000 UTCDon't want to go into too much detail because of other spoilers but from what I can gather Martha was born around 1961 which makes her about 42 here in about Feb 2003 when it aired and she was about 29 when the meteors hit just over 13 years before this in Oct 1989. Clark is 15 going on sixteen in a couple months here and was about two when he came out of the ship at the meteor shower.
