Elena was a liar. She said it was horrible and she knows it wasn't. Elena needs to put on her big girl panties and learn what she needs to to be a vampire and feed without killing people. Feeding on animals makes you less strong than human blood. As a someone who can get mistaken for Katherine even more so now that she is a vampire, she needs all the strength she can get cause who knows what kind of enemies Katherine has. Also I always believed that Lexi did wrong by Stefan by not teaching him to feed on human blood better. She had a century on him and was strong enough to restrain him. Yet he basically starved himself on animals until he was too hungry and went on a ripper binge for years. When ever Damon met Sage, he tried to teach Stefan to do better but it was too late because he was on the verge of a ripper binge.

2021-12-18 01:12:37 +0000 UTCI was honestly confused when bonnie said elena was out of control...she able to control the blood lust perfectly, and then elena started crying for literally no reason...she knew what she was walking into when she started to train with damon...this is exactly what she signed up for...and she managed to feed without killing anyone

2021-03-24 03:02:23 +0000 UTC@Stefan John, Nikita... whoever... Does one remember the fact that Damon helped Stefan with this blood issues last season? Lexi had Stefan feed on animal blood and because of this he repeatedly falls off the wagon when all the urge and build up get to be too much for him, he rips people apart. DAMON has been helping Stefan learn control and moderation and now Stefan can drink human blood he just has to be careful to watch that he doesn't over do it. Which is why he asked Caroline to 'sponsor' him lol. I ALSO think her friends and Stefan's judgement are another reason she can't get help from Caroline. She'd get that same look Bonnie just gave her even though she was just having fun and doing NOTHING wrong.

2021-03-24 02:22:09 +0000 UTCI actually don't see Elena as "losing control" at all. She was never close to killing anyone or had to be stopped by Damon. She was controlling herself then entire time. The only thing she did was to relax and "enjoy" it a bit like Damon suggested. She stopped hating what she was for a moment and just had fun. Notice that she didn't have an issue with it until Bonnie walked in and looked at her like she was a monster that Elena started to hate herself. It was Bonnie's look of judgment that caused Elena to get back on the hating herself train. What they were doing actually helped Elena learn to control feeding on others without it getting to a dangerous point. Damon was perhaps the best choice for this since a lot of Elena's issue is her moral struggle with harming others. We saw this when she couldn't feed from the girl college student when she tried. She never would have been able to do what she has to do if Damon hadn't made her relax and have fun with it. Her gateway was feeding from the date rapey guy and then after she was more comfortable.

In this episode, she even says that she believes him on his perspective on what it means to be a vampire. It’s not like Elena chose him over Caroline. Not to mention that Caroline is very judgmental and hasn’t drank from the vein in ages. Considering Elena can only drink from the vein, I’m not sure Caroline would be the best choice any way. Caroline did kill someone after a very emotionally charged moment with Matt, but earlier that episode, she fed from the nurse and did not kill her. So, control somewhat comes natural to her. I don’t think it’s ridiculous to say that she’s “too good” when she was able to drink from the vein and not kill a stranger on her first try. The only reason why Elena thinks she “lost control,” is because Bonnie saw her and judged and that took her out of it. In my opinion, she was very much in control that entire time. We have seen a vampire out of control when it comes to bloodlust. That’s not what was happening here. She was having fun. And Bonnie saw that as a problem. That’s my two cents.
