Man, I can't believe you didn't get it. The girl scammed her ''dad'' in order to take care of her just like House said. He was right the whole time. She was probably going to scam him and take off as soon as she had enough money from him. House helped his friend by lying to the girl, saying she choose the wrong person to scam because he was actually her father (which he wasn't), in order to help his friend not getting screwed (or at least try - she could still take his money and take off), that is why at the end House said to his friend that 'they're even'. The friend still didn't know House did a paternity test and chose to believe she was his daughter.
