Oh please. You're the ones who want to see everything as racist. Watch the stuff the actress (Bonnie) did before TVD, the way she is in and out of roles is exactly how she is in TVD, they didn't change her to make her more white. Literally two relationships in the show Bonnie had were with Jeremy and Enzo, both white men. Half of the characters were killed off the show, black or white, aside from Enzo there's literally noone that survived til the end of the show who wasn't part of original cast. Everyone died, for every dead minority there is ten white people who died, but since you only pay attention to black ones, you don't give a f when a white persod dies or is treated like trash. And show me your source of Ian Somerhalder threatening to quit if Bonnie dies.

She didn’t want Bonnie to be black but the producers made her. She then wanted to kill her off but couldn’t because Ian Somerhalder (Damon) said that he would leave if she was killed off the show. She also didn’t want to go forward with a lot of fan wanted relationships between Bonnie and other characters because she believes black people should be with black people. Which backfires because she kills off most of the POC characters...

When Caroline is at the bar with Klaus Stefan sends her a text message and it says "I lost Elena, I need a vampire to kill. I'll turn someone if I have to, get an answer fast" SOOO I interpret that as Stefan will go murder some innocent person and turn them into a vampire but he's on a time crunch so he and Caroline offered up Chris as a sacrifice by telling Klaus Chris was the one who let Stefan in and that Chris was no longer sired. SO if it makes you feel any better the thought DID cross the show runners mind to just turn someone at random but they instead went with another moment to show us just how desperate Stefan is and how he is willing to do ANYTHING to find this cure even though Elena never would have wanted that. I mean she wants the cure but she doesn't want to have to kill people especially ones that helped her, along the way. Oh and Hailie can suck a dick acting all indignant that they killed Chris.

2021-04-07 17:36:47 +0000 UTCI think the Chris kill is supposed to be very upsetting and a lot of people hate the “good guys” for it. But, I think they were very intentional about it being Stefan, Caroline and Jeremy. It would honestly be more understandable if it was someone like Damon, but of course, we needed him for Elena. Basically, Elena’s life means more than the life of anyone else. Chris was the convenient lol option for them, so they went with that. Could they have gone with literally any other vampire or hybrid? Absolutely. But Chris was the vulnerable one, the “easy” one. It really sucks and I think this kill matters in the grand scheme of things. That’s why the show gave us that Tyler scene. Otherwise, Caroline and Stefan for most of this season piss me off. Jeremy, I have a little more sympathy for, since he was sort of left out of everything and probably had no idea who Chris was. We saw a Stefan and Elena break up at the end. We will certainly see what that means for Damon and Elena.

There's barely any investment into these characters so why the hell would I give a crap. Shows usually need collateral damage, especially shows with super powers that's just what happens But I totally get the POC thing. That's one of the many good things about the originals is their diversity

2021-04-07 11:00:14 +0000 UTCKilling of Chris was WRONG i was dreading this reaction who will be ok with this i don't know it really pains me to see such treatment yes TVD is my favorite show but i have to point out some things that are wrong absolutely wrong and also Chris was the one who helped them - Stefan got inside to rescue Elena which was another Dumb move what did they expect. What irritates me more is that they said they would help him and later go and kill him which looks Shit and fucked up. This is a good season none the less hopefully you like the rest of it :)

2021-04-07 06:43:49 +0000 UTCYes this was another showing of the minority taking another L .......I knew this was going to piss you off and indeed it did I’m sure most people would agree that the direction to kill Chris was trash as hell🤦🏾♂️.......we can go all day about the plethora vampires they could’ve chosen but it is what it is...🤷🏾♂️ Idk if they were going for the "good guys” make bad decisions route here maybe they did nonetheless killing Chris was absolutely gaaaarbage‼️ To answer your question Klaus can’t make anymore hybrids because Elena is a Vampire, he needs the blood of a doppelgänger sooo by giving Elena the cure she’s human again he can make more hybrids..... 2021-04-07 06:43:22 +0000 UTCI'm not gonna go into the weeds on the race thing again because I think people have said it before, if you're a side character chances are you're gonna die, no matter what, but as for how we're supposed to feel about the main characters... we're supposed to see and feel their desperation. They were desperate to save Elena, but more importantly this cure is making all of our mains wildly desperate to find it and they'll do ANYTHING to make sure it doesn't slip between their fingers.
