Regarding the romance aspect...1. Romance is featured heavily in most superhero comics. It's kind of a big theme. They are going to include it with most shows based on superhero comics for that reason. 2. Romance is "forced" on the CW shows because a lot of people like the romance aspect. That may not be your cup of tea, but some people like a bit of it thrown in. It's sort of why the throw it in to a lot of movies...even action movies. Why is there always a "Bond girl" for example? The answer is...some like it and it leads to a lot of character development. 3. It's normal for people to have romantic partners. If they did no romance through 8 seasons of Arrow then most people would either feel the show was extremely fake and unrealistic or there is something wrong with Oliver and the rest of the cast.

2021-04-15 07:40:15 +0000 UTCI think a lot of what's happening rn in the beginning of the third season makes a lot of sense later on .. there are reasons behind i.e. Sara dying this abruptly. Regarding Felicity and Palmer, yes Arrow does not do romance well in general. And I'm like the biggest romantic, but you're right sometimes it feels forced. Though I have to say I read this moment at the end more as Felicity wanting the job bc it's exciting and could give her more purpose than just being on Team Arrow, which she feels she needs rn bc Sara's death really showed her how fast it could all be over.
