I'm late to this, but a couple of things: OLA. If you say Olaf, you're turning her into a dude. She's a girl. Ola. And it seems like you didn't entirely get what went down at the military academy (if you did, I apologize, but you didn't mention it). Adam walked in on the two guys having sex in the dorm, which would mean instant expulsion and disgrace for them. He immediately said he wouldn't say anything. But clearly they didn't trust him, so they planted the weed in his bunk, to get him expelled so he couldn't get them in trouble. They all used the word "poof," which is a rather outdated British derogatory term for a gay man.
