Jay owns his own closet company. But the big part of their income comes from supplying the closets for new housing (neighborhoods, apartment buildings, etc.). So Jay has to persuade the young developer to use HIS closets, rather than somebody else's -- he's doing a "pitch," to bid in competition with other closet suppliers. And the guy was using these vague annoying buzzwords to describe what he wanted, instead of specific requirements.
