Haven't watched it yet but I'm super excited to get into your OTH reactions. And as Brandon K. Stretton reminded me above, 2 brothers are reacting to a show that's primarily about 2 brothers in 2 different generations (Dan and Keith, and Nathan and Lucas). I'm even MORE excited about it now.

Can I just say I really enjoy these reactions because it's cool to see two people, two brothers, react to a show together by actually reacting to it TOGETHER and talking about it as stuff happens and then coming back and talking about it all again at the end. This is one of the more fun reactions on your channel so thank you for these. And I do think that Dan meant for Keith to apologize for being drunk and swinging on him and then he'd apologize for being an asshole that made him swing on him. I also think Brooke went too far in this episode, but I feel the alcohol brought a larger issue Brooke has to the surface and that's she has this crush on Lucas and she's been asking Peyton for several weeks if she feels the same about Lucas so she can gauge her own responses so not to step on the girl code or whatever, but Peyton won't give Brooke a straight answer about her feelings so it keeps her in a sort of limbo with her own feelings about Lucas and her inability to do anything about them. Then getting passed up by Lucas when she's straight up throwing herself at him must hurt the ego.

Plus we have to recognize that it would fall in line with Nathan's previous behavior. As Haley said she thinks Nathan just uses his stupid "jokes" and stuff as a defense mechanism, but this thing with the note proved to her that he can't be trusted.

Yeah, Luke got VERY intense there. It makes sense to me why he did - he's wanted to be with Peyton for a very long time, but Peyton's response to it all was absolutely warranted. She JUST broke up with his brother, for God's sake, which was an emotionally abusive relationship at that. Luke saying all of that would of course scare her away. And the way Brooke framed everything is that Nathan was making fun of her for the note. So, even if the content of the note/care package wasn't that bad, the fact that Brooke said Nathan was passing it around to everyone, just made Haley look like a joke, hopelessly pining after him. I would have been pissed off too.

Okay, we are just like 2 or 3 episodes away from me just binging the hell out of this reaction. I don't know what you like/don't like so far but I hope you'll love the characters and ships I do...this show gets super dark sometimes so can't wait for that either

A couple of things. No offence guys, but you talk a little too much during the reaction and end up missing key parts of conversations. Like Brooke telling Haley that Nathan passed the note she wrote around. Second, you started this show biased (as you admitted it) thinking it will just be bad and over the top and sometimes that's all you see. And giving this show too little credit. For example Haley was not overreacting. She heard Brooke quote her note which means Brooke must have seen it and then she heard Brooke saying that Nathan passed that note around. That would be enough to upset and humiliate anyone (especially in high school). Another funny thing, you have K and K - Keith and Karen and D and D - Dan and Deb. Nathan was actually very passive this episode. He didn't do anything wrong. Nothing rushed about Luke and Payton. Remember they are in high school. Yes, Lucas was over the top. But nothing too weird. Okay, with Payton, she was just getting to know Lucas and liked him and saw the potential. But remember that she and Nathan had mostly a sexual relationship. She only knew how to really date by having sex and maybe the relationship afterwards. Luke wanted Payton for a long time and there is a simple explanationfor his words: he got carried away. Payton got scared and ran off. In her room afterwards she was just thinking about what happened and because she freaked out and ran off, she is worried that now she can't have this thing with Luke. While at the same time wandering if she is brave enough to match his emotions. To take a chance. Because remember she and Nathan didn't really have a real relationship.

I get what you mean about the note not having anything bad or embarrassing on it but from Haley’s POV, it was the sentiment behind it and what it actually meant for her. We know that she’s starting to have feelings for Nathan so the suggestion of saying “call me if you need anything at all” also implies that she cares about him more than just helping study. To me I got the feeling that if she were brave, the letter would have been a confession of her feelings but because he’s too afraid to put it out there, she made the note seem innocent.
