What the British call a "biscuit" is usually what we in the US would call a cookie. The American biscuit has no exact UK equivalent (though a scone is a bit similar). I react differently to Jakob than you do (which is fine, of course). He seems like one of those annoying characters who always does what HE wants and assumes it's what the other person wants. He makes noise and messes and generally suits his own convenience. Even when he builds a shelf for Jean... he didn't consult her first or ask if she'd like it, he just walked in and did it. Also, maybe this is what you meant, but I'd say that the man reason Adam bullied Eric in Season 1 was that he hated his own feelings for men (and Eric in particular) and was desperate to prove to himself and the world that he didn't really feel that way. (I say this as a gay guy who was in severe denial about it throughout my high school and most of my college years. I never bullied anybody though.)
