I agree with your first point. Your secound point about Helen's motivations doesn't make sense though because of that one episode with her jealous ex Paul. In that episode Lex basically saved her. To become that evil and callous after someone saves you doesn't make sense. What happened is they needed to write off the character so they forced the Narrative to make it dramatic. On the third point I partially agree, as Clark was put on the spot, however it made him look really stupid because in the situation Clark had to give him back something, so he could have said be right back in 2mins and ill get you what you want. Then speed away and do the Krytonite thing. However the Narrative would have changed at that point cause edge wouldn't have known Clark was the source of the blood, and their fore they couldn't have wrapped up that plot line.

Yeah they should have had Clark say " give me a couple secs" then go some ware and do the Kryptonite thing with the blood. Had Morgan edge send a guy to tail him and find out about it that way. Honestly that whole plot could have been saved for its own episode.

This show loves sweeping things aside to go back to the status quo

When I was a teen watching this episode, I was like, "What the hell happened to Helen????!!!!" But re-watching it when older, I'm like they needed a way to get rid of the character that didn't make the audience miss her. LOL, they chose a ridiculous route, but it is what it is! I didn't miss her, lol!

That's an interesting way to put it. Totally wrong, but still interesting Daniel. xD

Oh my god I wanna rebuttal SOOOO BAD, but that would ruin some things for Steven, so I’ll practice the art of discipline 😖😷😶

To be fair to Clark, when you're put on the spot, with your parents being threatened, I think it's safe to assume you won't be making the most rational decisions

Demiurge

Yah you’re right. She didn’t forgive Clark but accepted what he previously told her that he had things about him that wouldn’t understand. She then gave him the option to be upfront with her and be honest. When pulled away it really hurt her because she was being vulnerable.

Clark hurts Lana so much and you wonder how easily it is for Lois to slide on in there? lol

Daniel R

I liked Clark turning down Lana, I wasnt rooting for this relationship at this point. Too many on/offs over 3 seasons. This recent feeling you mention hyped me up for the rest of the season.

Nikita Pascari

I completely agree with you on Helen. All these years later, those are one of the story twist that just upset me.

Tia

I don't understand some of your reactions. Why did Lana forgive Clark? She didn't really, she was just willing to move past it and work for it. Why? Because she's a good person and because she is in love with him. I really don't understand your confusion on that one. Helen was not only for the money - at first. But remember that we don't know almost anything about her. She was gradually corrupted by being in the Luthor radar. My guess is she grew tired of it and wanted an out after Lex betrayed her and so she just sold the blood to Lionel and took the money from Edge to kill Lex. Her motivations are not that out there. Clark had no option when put on the spot. If he went somewhere else to draw the blood he would have collapsed somewhere else and Edge would have still found out. And if he didn't gave his blood his parents would have been killed.

Primus

In a nutshell: Jor-El and Jonathan made a deal for Clark to come home. So when Clark chose not to kill Jonathan and broke the ring instead. That was Clark choosing to come home so Jor-El's magic (Jonathan's temporary powers, Clark's scar) went away as agreed upon the deal. That being said, everything else id tell you about the deal would be spoilers so no more typing for me.
