it's filmed in ontario and the way things are said i've pretty much taken it as canada. The title is part french i think lol

David is never called Dave, always David. or when his sister is talking, "Dayviiid" or "Ew, Dayviiid!" This is a Canadian production, with mostly Canadian actors. But they've been careful not to locate the town Schitt's Creek anywhere specific -- they never even say if it's in Canada or the US. It was nice to hear you mention Reaper, a series I liked. But the actor who plays Ted wasn't on it. The "Allez Vous" cosmetics line is based on real-life counterparts, like Mary Kay or Avon (or, in another department, Tupperware), that traditionally were made to be sold among neighbors in a community through "luncheons" and similar innocent gatherings, and did indeed work like a pyramid scheme, with promise of a big payout that never comes. The "instructional" video we saw was the standard one that comes with the package, the person in it was not Moira's friend.
