Completely agree Jason. I was going to say something similar. It's realistic. It feels like (to me) that because House is not a politically correct person, it's not realistic, which Steven seems to take offence of. But this is extremely realistic to me. It's the perfect way to end the arc. It kinda seems (sorry Steven) that you are biased against House because he is a dick. But he is also an amazing doc, who cares about his patients, who IS in pain, and who is addicted. But Steven you seem to ignore all that because he's a dick and only focus on the bad stuff. That's why there are not good TV shows anymore. Whenever shows today keep bringing important topics, they do it in a politically correct way which does a disservice to the topic because it makes it preachy and hypocritical - not as a lesson to be learned. That's also one of the reason Steven keeps saying shows he watches from the 2000's wouldn't work today. Because back then they focused on being a lesson not preaching with perfect characters, etc. Because bad characters exist nowadays and today's shows don't show them - unless they are full fledged evil characters or souless vampires, etc.

Basically this court session wasnt to determine whether house was guilty or innocent. It was to determine if there was enough evidence to proceed with a trial. When cuddy lied it demolished the evidence they had so they didnt move to trial.

I don’t get offended by drug use. Did I say that at one point? I don’t recall saying that.

Steven Merced

The judge dropped it because it was primarily a drug trafficking charge. She knew he wasnt trafficking so she dropped it. Especially with cuddys perjure they have no case anymore. The charge changes the dynamics of the relationships a lot. But yes the overall narrative is that the war on drugs is pointless. I brought it up a while back but you seem to be genuinely offended about drug use and I don’t get it. Just for arguments sake. House when faced with prison time genuinely apologized to his best friend and risked his trial to save that person and at some point you have to accept houses behavior is a persona/coping mechanism. What matters more to you house being a dick in meaningless ways or what he actually stands by? Sorry if this comes off preachy, just trying to show a different perspective and engage a discussion
