Yeah Dean is an asshole here. Cause he’s guilty and he totally knows it. And neither Dean or Lindsey were ready to be married. They make mistakes and have to deal with the consequences. They have to live and learn and grow up. They are 19. Hopefully they learn from their mistakes. Same with Rory. She made an awful mistake. And hates that her mother saw her this way so she’s turned away from her. But she also has to deal and with her mistakes and grow up. I don’t think it makes them horrible people. Just young and stupid.

I don’t focus so much on who is a bad person or in the wrong, I just really appriciate the story they are telling here. They really show allot of perspectives and show how Even good people can make horrible mistakes, and All the fallout of chetaing, and how impossible it is to repair and that it is actually a tradegy for all the people involved. It doesn’t give you a happy ending.

Your reaction to the Dean and Rory thing is sooo me! I literally feel the same exact way you feel! I was very strongly Team Dean up until last episode, and then this episode further proves the type of asshole he really is 😭 it was sooo disappointing, because I was rooting for him but then him being a cheater and being such a dick towards his wife that is really trying was just ughh soo disgusting, soo annoying, I just completely hated it! I am really looking forward to your reactions for this season as a whole though, I would say is one of my favorites! ♥️

welcome to the best season of Gilmore Girls!! I personally never saw Dean and Rory as a good fit. I didn't hate Dean or anything, him and Rory just want different things out of a relationship imho .. but your assessment that now Dean turns into a complete ass I have to agree with. If he is so unhappy and clearly in love with Rory, why doesn't he just end things with Lindsay who is clearly not happy either?! He doesn't have to yell at her or try to put the blame on her when he lies and cheats. But this whole situation is also not a good look on Rory either .. I get that she wanted this for a while now and I guess after Jess broke her heart she wanted to feel safe and Dean always made her feel safe, but they both have changed and made some life choices that makes them absolutely not compatible anymore .. and her throwing a whole fit with Lorelai when she knows that her mother is right is just downright childish. As for Luke, I think he just cares about Lorelai that much that he doesn't wanna screw it up so he tiptoes around it, but I love that Lorelai is showing him and telling him that she wants this, that she's in. And his smile when she said that - GOLD! Emily in this episode was just the best - I love that she is not taking Richard's bs anymore and is doing whatever the heck she wants. He clearly does not care about her needs anyways. As she said - he used to treat her like a real partner and now he hides things from her, doesn't confide in her and makes decisions behind her back that threaten what they've built together.

This is the point where I lost all respect for dean with the way he handled things. I’ve forgotten that they slept together a second time the following day which makes it even worse.

I'm at work so I can't watch this yet but I spent the last 10 minutes of my lunch hour getting a cheesecake to bring home so I can eat it while I watch during dinner time. I'M SO EXCITED!!!

The Emily Richard scene in the basement is just funny! I still can't believe she climbed out a window! Dean is such a monumental jackass! Rory isn't much better, but Dean? Lindsay is clearly trying hard at the whole housewife thing, she's the girl he said he wanted back in season 1 if you remember his comment during the Donna Reed episode? He mentioned that the housewife role is something he's grown up with due to his parents, and Lindsay is clearly into that. Hooking up with Rory who is a career woman and he knows this, is just pointless. Lindsay deserves WAY better than this! I love the awkwardness with Luke and Lorelai. They are in new territory and I like that they show it. Sookie can't keep a damn secret to save her life! XD I'm a little mad at Lane, like I know she's doing the "best friend" role of standing by her friend and ignoring the awful thing she did to focus on the other stuff, but I wish she didn't react so perky to the fact Rory slept with a married man. I know most of her reaction stems from her not having much of a clue about relationships, so she's still a bit naive in that sense, but it's still disappointing. Also damn you for posting this at 5am my time! XD I was just going to go sleep then I got the notification! :p Glad you're feeling better, and I can't wait to see what you think of the next episode! :p
