Rory had to face the consequences of her bad decisions somehow. Had she just went back to college, no. People make mistakes, deal with the consequences, learn their lessons and grow as a person. I don’t understand why Lindsey couldn’t be the one to yell at Rory. That was a choice the writers made that I didn’t understand. She could yell at Dean and throw his stuff out the window but she couldn’t yell at Rory herself? It sort of reinforces the over bearing nature of her parents coming over all the time cooking and fixing stuff. It’s like they didn’t let them learn to be a married couple. That’s not an excuse, it’s an observation on the marriage among the others we saw. Also Dean wasn’t blaming Rory. He was calling himself an idiot for messing up his marriage for a girl who did him the way she did the first time (with Jess) and this time went off to Europe without saying anything. He’s basically saying why did I screw up and hurt myself and others for someone who just left. Maybe he thought him and Rory were in this together. (He should have just ended his marriage himself before getting involved with Rory beyond friendship, cause he wasn’t happy and that led to his affair in the first place) But Rory did the same thing to Jess. She kissed him and then went away to that leadership summer thing with Paris and never said anything to him. Then came back and stayed with Dean. Didn’t try to talk about it with Jess, nothing. Rory needs to grow out of that. Learn to stop running away from her problems.

Why should she get away with ruining a marriage without any consequences for her. Luke and Lorelai are adorable. I love that she already had the earrings on! That's cute as fuck!
