I like that they're building Love in a different way than Beck. She's less of a helpless damsel in distress and more of an active participant and less of an object. She also actually has an interesting personality unlike Beck. I also liked a lot of the characters they introduced: Forty, Ellie, Delilah and Calvin. In terms of Candice coming back, there's a lot to the story you don't know. She came back because Beck died and is clearly upset with Joe, that he did it again. She also said Joe left her for dead.
