nothing about the way this season ends would make viewers "trust the writers" lol. there is a reason this is widely regarded as the worst season of the show. the writing this season was a mess, right up until the very end.

2021-07-07 21:49:50 +0000 UTCAnother thing i thought of, is that i always thought that you would be more inclined to like Hannah as a character (despite the way she was written sometimes) because of the fact that you seemed to like Yvonne as Sarah (if i was not mistaken), so i thought that would carry over to Dexter, as Yvonne is also very good as Hannah. But i guess i was wrong...

2021-07-07 20:29:31 +0000 UTConce hannah tried to kill deb she was on my shit list. i don't care if deb wanted to lock her up (there's nothing wrong with this given hannah is a mass murder who has no problem murdering the innocent). that's no excuse for her to poison deb imo. especially knowing how important deb is to dexter and knowing that deb is just about the only family dexter has left. if she truly loves him like the fans say, she never would've tried to kill deb for her own selfish reasons. i hated the way the writers brought her back. she was a nuisance. her only redeeming quality is that she likes dexter. but that's not enough for me to like HER. there is nothing else about her personality or character that there is to like or want to root for. her presence in the last 2 seasons is a big reason why i consider them the weakest seasons of the show.

2021-07-07 15:48:04 +0000 UTCAnyway... i personally loved Hannah as a character, despite the writers choice last season, and i could see that she loved Dexter truly, and that he loved her back. So they made sense as a couple and especially as an endgame couple. Plus the performance from Yvonne is amazing as always, which of course helps the fact that i love her as a character. Hopefully you'll turn around on that and enjoy more the later half of this season. I personally liked it, with the exception of the final episode (and only a small part of that final episode actually).

2021-07-07 09:31:34 +0000 UTCI believe that part of the problem you're facing right now, is due to the writers bad choices in the previous season. I mean... i'm not sure how much of the season 8 story line they had figured out, but the fact that they left Hannah alive at the end of last season, tells me that they knew that they would bring her back and most probably they knew the way that they would bring her back (i mean as the main love interest of Dexter). So why did they make the choice of having her do something stupid as try to poison Deb? They had to know that something like this would definitely turn everyone against her as a character and it would make bringing her back next season as the main love interest of Dexter that much harder (not to mention that the way that went down was quite out of character from what we'd seen up till that time).

I loved Hannah and if Deb had not been so bound and determined (and such a bitch) with Hannah, Hannah wouldn't have tried to kill her. Let's face it. Deb loved Dexter (in the wrong way) and that was partially why she hated Hannah. Dexter actually loves Hannah. I love Dexter and want him to be happy so I never hated Hannah. The fans were split pretty much 50/50 on this so it makes sense for us to have differing opinions. I have to say most of the male fans loved her LOL and the female not so much so we are both backwards in that respect argh!
