Yes, and Julian was a different brother, who died when Lex was little, and yes, Lex mentioned him many times. Lucas was the brother Lionel had with the crazy lady from season 2 who thought Clark was her son and Lex's brother.

2021-07-14 08:22:06 +0000 UTCSo a quick summary on what the shows proposed reasoning of lionel putting lex in the psyche ward is cuz as the show states lex came too close to the truth of his grandparents murder. Morgan edge wanted to kill him, but lex is the only family lionel has left and thus there was a soft spot for him, so he decided to make him go crazy to lose all credibility. What they are doing to lex in the psych ward is that they’re monitoring his meds and making sure that by the end of his “treatment” he legit wont be be able to remember a damn thing. The last part where lionel tells the doctor he loves his son more than life itself but he has no choice confirms this. Man the way lionel teared up in the final scene got me. Its the dilemma of his son exposing him to be a murderer and essentially sentencing him to jail in life And him wanting to get rid of that liability but is unable to because Lex is too precious to Lionel and you could even say Lex IS Lionel’s life. Layers my guy lol
