I wrote a longer post but for some reason it got deleted. Anyway, what i said was that i kinda agree with you regarding Vogel, but not to the point where i hate her character. Her story line annoys me though a bit. I dont like bringing in such a pivotal character to Dexter's life only at the last season. It seems like an afterthought and a bit of cheap writing, in my book. But she serves her purpose on the overall Dexter journey, so i was willing to give her a pass. However i don't agree with your dislike of Hanna's story line and character. Granted that i agree that some of the choices they made in Season 7 with her character were unfortunate and they could have gone a more interesting route and better also from a show running perspective, i still believe that her character plays an important role in Dexter's life, as she represents what Dexter hopes is his future. As Harry said Dexter may have now found an urge stronger than the one to kill, which is monumental for Dexter, so you can understand why his character would be so over in love with Hannah. He is attracted to her and he can be completely open and honest with her about who he is and she accepts him and doesn't judge him. Dexter never had that fully. I understand that you as a lot of other fans dislike Hannah cause she tried to kill Deb last season, and i understand that. I believe that was a very poor choice on the writer's part. I mean it would serve them and their plans best, if what happened last season was Deb's doing all along. I mean it would have been a better storyline if what happened to Deb, was actually Deb's plan, to push Dexter into turning on Hannah. That would have made more sense from a writing perspective, as it would show a more gradual "fall from grace" for Deb, before actually killing Laguerta. I mean the step to frame a known killer to "protect" her brother, would have been a much easier one to take for her, before then going on to killing an innocent friend of hers to protect her brother. This way, you would have the extra tension you needed between her and Hannah in the final season when you brought Hannah back, and you wouldn't have half the fanbase dislike the character and therefore the storyline you are saying with her and Dexter.

Now for the most part I type my comments in notepad and then copy and paste them here. This serves a couple purposes; formatting, spell check, easier to edit, and of course because Patreon eats comments so if it does I can just go copy/paste it back in. IF you write a comment and edit it more than once (sometimes you can get away with twice) in a short period of time Patreon deletes your comment because it recognizes it as spam.

2021-07-17 09:44:51 +0000 UTCI love seeing other people’s rankings. It definitely shows how varied the fans are. I actually loved 6. Not my fave by far. But I liked it. Partly due to the addition of Mos Def and Edward James Olmos. I’m such a huge fan of both and seeing them in Dexter was such a big “wow, look at the talent this show is pulling”. Of course that sentiment started for me in season 3 when Jimmy Smits first appeared. Then it continued with John Lithgow and then Julia Stiles. 6 was the last season they really had high caliber guest stars as far as name recognition. For me anyway. I don’t really have a solid ranking for the seasons. But I will say 4 and 7 are both high on the list for me. It’s less of a 1-8 ranking and more of, a couple tied for 1, several tied for 2, then season 8 in third. Lol

2021-07-14 15:34:37 +0000 UTCEach to their own I guess. Definitely not my favorite season but better than 6 IMO. I rank them 2, 1, 4, 5, 7, 3, 8, 6 but 4 is actually my least favorite to REWATCH. You were dubious that Yates was actually the brain surgeon and now we know that he was not. That obviously the brain surgeon is still out there killing, he killed Zach. And the brain surgeon has always, from the start, for some reason, been sending a message to Vogel and now he has killed her latest "project" killer. We already knew that he knew about her connection to Dexter and placing Zach's body in Dexter's apartment is just a confirmation of that. The "how" he did it has never been a good question on Dexter because most of the time the answer is - its impossible, LOL!

2021-07-14 14:29:36 +0000 UTCSo while it is, for me, the worst season, I don’t hate it. I did right after it ended. But as I have rewatched, it I have warmed up to it. It’s like the last slice of chocolate cake from a cake you’ve had on your counter for a week. It may be your least favorite slice. But it’s still chocolate cake. It may not be fresh. But it’s edible. And chocolate. Lol. Hoping that the slice we’re getting this fall is fresh and tasty. 🤞🏻
