I think if you’re looking for a really good teen drama I would recommend All American. Dawson’s Creek is iconic but really dramatic if you know what I mean ;)

2021-07-20 15:40:37 +0000 UTCNikki is only a year or two older than Jake and Lucas. It is referenced later. The only reason I’m saying so now is because people should not throw around the word pedophile so lightly. Ur not using it right. It means attracted to prepubescent children. Even IF Nikki was actually many years older than Lucas and jake (which she isn’t) she still wouldn’t be a pedophile.

2021-07-20 03:18:47 +0000 UTCLucas was a whiny little brat this episode lol And I actually like his character. However, what I appreciate is his immediate desire to do better and how he knows that he has lost his way He's clearly not there yet, in figuring out how to turn things around, but I always thought the way he acknowledged it, how he apologized to Karen, Whitey and Brooke, is a good first step.

2021-07-19 15:10:35 +0000 UTCYou brought up Deb and her job. Remember, her family is wealthy. That's actually how Dan got the dealership...Deb's family money. I'm sure she probably has enough to live on without working. A lot of wealthy people like that end up working for nonprofits or doing charity stuff rather than an actual "job." So yeah, I guess she could get a job, but she doesn't NEED a job. Dawsons Creek is okay. It's one of the first teen dramas I ever watched. However, it is very over the top. If you think OTH is bad with the teen drama...you haven't seen Dawsons Creek. Now...one show I could see you both enjoying is Charmed. It's very much in the vein of Buffy and was a huge show. I know you reacted to the pilot, but it's sort of like the first season of Buffy...it doesn't get good until later seasons. It's just an idea anyway! I'd watch a Dawsons Creek reaction too...I just think you'd both prefer Charmed.

2021-07-18 22:01:50 +0000 UTCi actually don't think you'll like dawson's creek at all. i could see you easily rolling your eyes at some of the melodrama and dialogue lol. i do think when it comes to teen dramas...one tree hill is among the best. i also like the first couple seasons of gossip girl (i think you would too actually).

2021-07-18 19:32:13 +0000 UTCI would love for you to do Dawson's Creek. It ties in beautifully with OTH (teen drama, triangles, filmed in the same location and some surprise shared actors), but is very unique to itself, and without it, not sure there would've been OTH.

2021-07-18 15:38:22 +0000 UTCI think Peyton had to show so quickly how deeply sorry she is. If she had just not talked to Brooke to give her space, Brooke would've interpreted this as Peyton not caring about their friendship. So I guess she had to .. plus I mean Lucas is really not worth losing their friendship over.

2021-07-18 15:33:21 +0000 UTCDawsons Creek and One Tree Hill are similar to each other in that they are both teen dramas but other then that in my opinion they are both very different from one another. Dawsons Creek is one of my top favorite shows followed closely behind Gilmore Girls and One Tree Hill so I would love to watch your reactions to it. I think you would find quite a lot of people who would watch a reaction to DC since no one else is really doing it right now.

2021-07-18 01:34:11 +0000 UTCAnyone else binge watching OTH now? I just couldn't wait lol. I was pretty mad at Lucas with this episode. He gets a "no" from someone and immediately goes to find someone else. He did that when Peyton said no before and he went to get Brooke. He needs to learn some patience. Then again, he couldn't wait to break up with Brooke to hook up with Peyton.

2021-07-17 10:49:18 +0000 UTCYes to Dawson's Creek. Absolutely.

2021-07-17 10:46:41 +0000 UTCFun fact I think I've commented before: Every title of every episode is a song.

2021-07-17 09:18:46 +0000 UTCSo my thoughts on the Deb thing is that she was working with Karen part time as an employee. Karen asked her to be a partner which is a much bigger time commitment. So I don't think Deb was saying she no longer wanted to work with Karen, she just didn't want to be a full time partner because then then the business has to be a major priority in her life.

2021-07-17 06:19:23 +0000 UTCJust starting the episode but I have to say, you mentioned something just now about possibly covering Dawson's Creek. That is one of my all time favorite shows and it's something that sadly no one I can find is reacting to it. I would love for you guys to do a reaction to it if you had never seen it!

2021-07-17 05:27:04 +0000 UTCDawson's Creek has some similarities to OTH in certain classic teen drama ways, but I'm a big teen drama fan so 🤷🏼♀️ -- would definitely watch if you reacted to it!

2021-07-17 05:19:23 +0000 UTCi want to piggyback on this and say music played a big role in tv shows a lot during this time that it doesn't seem to much anymore. like shows could feature a song or an artist, and it'd spring to the top of the download charts because everyone had to get their hands on that one particular song that made them feel that one particular way during a scene. there was something special about that. i often forget just how big a role music has in these episodes. there's certain scenes and certain songs that just leave a mark. for example, that opening scene, season one, dashboard confessionals. all these years later and that scene still stays on my mind.

2021-07-17 04:23:10 +0000 UTCThere are actually going to be a lot musical guest stars throughout the run of One Tree Hill. Music plays an underlining role throughout the run of the series. Also every episode of One Tree Hill is named after a song. By the way the reason Nicki looked familiar to you Steven is because Emmanuelle Vaugier played Dr. Helen Bryce on Smallville during Season 2.

2021-07-17 04:19:53 +0000 UTCgod nathan broke my heart in that scene. he did open up to lucas that night when they got kicked off the bus about dan having been physical with him as a kid. thinking of baby nathan calling his mom crying and telling her how dan is treating him - physically or otherwise, it all causes scars - and her just not caring.....wow. i totally forgot that storyline. my heart just shatters for him. wow. thank goodness he has hailey. she's like the one family this boy has, the one support he can lean on. i loved the interaction with brooke and peyton. i'm so glad you're seeing that brooke isn't going to be mean. she's just being honest and being up front about her pain and just being so done with them both right now. my heart goes out to her. peyton is trying to push her too quickly i think. like it's been one episode and peyton is over here like "are we ever going to get passed this" like geez let the girl grieve and feel her feelings for a hot minute lol oh nicky lol that's all i'm gonna say on that.
