Need Help Video Streaming
Added 2021-07-20 15:36:20 +0000 UTCHowdy ladies and gents,
So we have been running into issues with our streaming services and need some suggestions.
As you guys know I use Google Drive, DropBox and Vimeo. I just added Streamable in hopes that helps.
Dropbox has had issues recently becuase of excessive Bandwidth which I am trying to fix but we will have to see.
I was told today that Vimeo said I have to upgrade and pay $7000 for an account that lets me use that amount of bandwidth.
So I’m looking for options.

I've seen a lot of people use BitChute. It's a website that promotes free speech so it has very little moderation and is free to use (it is funded through donations, which is 100% voluntary).

2021-07-25 21:38:48 +0000 UTCI did try streamable on your latest office reaction. It worked great except that for some reason my phone didn’t recognize that a video was playing so it would darken every few minutes like it was going to black out for inactivity and I’d have to tap it to make sure it didn’t. I usually use google drive FYI.

2021-07-21 14:42:52 +0000 UTCMan, if it helps out i never use Vimeo. Mainly i used dropbox, but i have used google drive as well. So i wouldn't mind if you only kept one of them.

2021-07-20 21:30:43 +0000 UTCYeah, I'd think this would be the easiest solution. Less traffic spread out over the accounts then.

2021-07-20 20:57:44 +0000 UTCI also second OneHub. It's what most of the reactors I watch use.

2021-07-20 18:22:47 +0000 UTCVimeo was the one I was using, but that's an insane amount of money so I'll use a different one for sure.

2021-07-20 18:17:40 +0000 UTCThis is usually fixed if you use chrome browser on your phone and sign in.

2021-07-20 17:54:09 +0000 UTCI'm with everyone else. it's probably easier to just do google drive.

2021-07-20 17:46:38 +0000 UTCSo I have no idea how it all works as a creator. But the links in your description that takes us to the videos, does it matter if they take us to different accounts? For example, make a separate Vimeo acct for Brian videos and a separate for David. And then have one for you. 3 different Vimeo accounts. And on patron have the link just lead to the appropriate account/video. Not sure what the lesser packages are that you’re paying for. But I wonder if that would be cheaper than having to upgrade the one account with a $7k price tag.

2021-07-20 17:30:04 +0000 UTCSome reactors use one hub I mostly watch on vimeo from you but have no issue switching to Google drive

2021-07-20 17:29:33 +0000 UTCI use mainly use GD, I rarely use DB or V.
2021-07-20 17:21:58 +0000 UTCI always use Dropbox and they work great. But I know some reactors I watch use onehub, which I also have no issues it. So that might be an option. There's also Megaupload, but I don't know many that use that one.

2021-07-20 17:15:00 +0000 UTCI use dropbox links when possible, drive is also good for me and always download stuff so I don't have to worry about possible network issues while watching and links disappearing if I'm behind with something.

2021-07-20 17:08:44 +0000 UTCMy only problem with google drive, and it’s not really a big deal is just when I’m watching from my I phone, google drive doesn’t let you play in full screen

2021-07-20 16:52:10 +0000 UTCI primarily use GD to download. That seems to work very well atm.

2021-07-20 16:14:21 +0000 UTCNever use vimeo anyways. Drive and dropbox are king

2021-07-20 16:13:37 +0000 UTCDoes this have to do with previous reactions not working
2021-07-20 16:12:56 +0000 UTCI've seen other reactors use Onehub, but I don't know the details in terms of bandwidth limits, costs, et.

2021-07-20 16:12:04 +0000 UTCI use Dropbox and mega is terrible
2021-07-20 16:11:56 +0000 UTCI only use Google drive (download) 🙏🏼

2021-07-20 16:06:33 +0000 UTCI personally use Dropbox if I'm on my phone or Drive if I'm on a computer. I dont think 7k is worth vimeo
Lulu
2021-07-20 15:59:53 +0000 UTCYes, i use vimeo but recently noticed a link wasn't working (gilmore girls scene in a mall) and just switched to Dropbox. I think whatever model you use that is cost and time efficient works best. For me, my only preference is that I dont have to download your content to watch it. I prefer streaming on my phone (so I can my mirror it on my TV).

2021-07-20 15:50:28 +0000 UTC7k is a joke which is a shame as I find vimeo the easiest solution to use to view your videos

2021-07-20 15:40:19 +0000 UTCI use Google Drive download, as for streaming I imagine you will run into similar issues on most usable sites.

2021-07-20 15:39:48 +0000 UTCWow...$7,000 is no joke.

2021-07-20 15:39:41 +0000 UTChey this sucks but sadly all reactors have that issue at some point. I would extend the bandwith for dropbox and google drive bc they work the best. also mega is pretty good :)
