I've always really liked this episode. All the the Amnesia stuff and the humor. The Clana stuff and Chloe being there for Clark and the moment of him seeing her " find out".

This episode is a classic IMO. The "bad guy" not being a bad guy was a nice twist, we got lots of quality Chloe and Clark being friends moments, and Chloe now knows all of Clark's present powers. I also like that the costume department kept elements the same shade of green Kevin's (the memory eraser's) wardrobe in all his scenes. With the green strips on the leather jacket, I felt like they were setting him up to be another super hero.

Season 4 is a mess, but don't worry, the quality only goes up from here

Actually not even halfway. The halfway point technically is last episode of season 5, first episode of season 6

Ha, pun intended :)

Hope you see this because I think this comment should recap some things and give you some real life explanations: Lana left at the end of season 3, leaving behind Clark, the lies, and the relationship that could never grow because there wasn't trust. She sought a relationship with Jason with the understanding that she found someone she could trust. But with the witch storyline, him working with Lex, the secrets, it just became a bit weird for her. Again, I can comment what happenned with Jason once the season is over but the writers made the decision after the witch storyline to pivot Lana back to Clark. Clark isn't still over her, but has sort of accepted that he can't really be with someone without telling the truth. But he also has felt the loss of someone close to him recently so maybe he is reconsidering his relationship with Lana. His feelings are still there. About the plot sorta changing after the 15 episodes, what I can say without potentially spoiling future seasons was that this season was supposed to feature Christopher Reeve's character, Dr. Swann more heavily. But after his death, a lot had to be retooled, resulting in less than great storylines (like the witch one) and one storyline that gets pushed into a future season. You might even remember they brought his secretary in only for that secretary to end up dead last episode, killed by Jason and his mom. So at this point in the season, they have changed their roadmap and have established the one that they will build towards the finale with. Lois is around more because fans liked her a ton. She was originally a guest star, only supposed to be in 2 episodes. They liked her so much, they bumped her up to appear in a few more. And then she was bumped to recurring cast member. She became a writer and fan favorite through the series, especially due to the loss of Pete last season. Especially as Clark and Lana didn't have a lot of interactions this season because of Jason. Also this show is 10 seasons long. We are approaching the halfway point but this entire show is about Clark becoming Superman. We have a long way to go and the expectations you are coming in with the superman mythos aren't going to be established for a long time. I think you should definitely throw your expectations out the window and let the show take you on a ride since its not going to align with the comics or pre established things right away.

There are alot of clana haters and lovers in the fandom, i for one grew up watching and LOVING them but thats also cuz i had a huge crush on Lana. As an adult when rewatching it i could def understand ppls dislike for it. But GOD when it worked, IT WORKED

I feel like Steven only gets confused cuz he has certain expectations of how the season/show should go and how things should end up being and when they dont happen that way hes in a state of confusion. Tbh bro you'd enjjoy the show sooo much more if u just sit back there with a "blank" mind and go into each ep and grow with the story. Cuz sometimes there would be something super clear that the show is tryna tell us and my boy would not get it cuz of some hang up he had regarding something super irrelevant

john segun doe

Lol the writers were just being dramatic with the clana crap.

Angela

Absolutely love Chloe after she finds out Clark’s secret. The clana stuff is definitely old

This episode for me is peak Clark and Lana awesomeness! I don't know why but this is (bar some) one of my fav Clana episodes. The acting is so good between them and their chemistry amazing! Also, the soundtrack, especially in the scenes between them is amazing. But the real MVP here is Chloe. To see her single-handedly protect Clark's secret the way she did was awesome! That last line (you trusted me) was the perfect way to end the episode. Clark and Lana's relationship was basically rekindled at prom. It did come a little sudden but remember, they also hang out together when travelling to China a couple of episodes back and also they never truly got over each other, don't kid yourself about that :D . And this episode and his attraction to Lana, if you want a scientific explanation, there is a good one. Clark suffered only an episodic memory loss (that's the term) which are the experiences and everyday events. His other two types, general and procedural were intact (like muscle memory - the fact that he can still walk talk, know English, etc). So it's not inconceivable that his feelings, that emotion he felt for Lana (which is something we still know very little about) is still there and can be recognised - the same way an amnesiac sees people from his life and feels like he recognises them but not really. Strong emotions can definitely jog your memory, that much is known.

Can't wait for this one. One of my fav from season 4.
