i don't mind the dad dying...i mind him dying THIS soon though. the show literally just brought him back. they could've done so much more with him before getting rid of him so quickly.

But also displays the tragedy that is klaus’s life, even tho his real father is back and is good guy who wants to be in his life, the fact the he knows hope is alive and the threat that could pose, however little that may be, klaus had to do necessary thing. Not to mention klaus’s heightened paranoid personality was also a factor, its super sad but a sacrifice klaus was completely willing to make on behalf of his hope
