2022-03-26 01:54:44 +0000 UTCFrom what I understand, Jason was always a mommy's boy that why the father cut him off. Remember he is the one who took Lana to the church where she got the tattoo. I believe he loved them both and wanted make them both happy.

If you look back during seasons 1-3, do you remember how Lionel wanted Lex to be? He wanted Lex as evil and ruthless as him and why they didn't agree on much was because Lex was still good while Lionel was doing evil things that Lex could not sign on. When watching this episode live for the first time I was shocked because to me it showed me that Lex was finally turning more evil...

It's been building before but as they alluded to with Ryan and the Warrior Angel and Devilicus comics that the path to evil is a journey not a light switch so we are just beginning.

I usually do not like to tell reactors to be excited about next season but Steven has been so down with season 4. lol So I have to make him know that season 5 will be refreshing but also as you mentioned, also a new era so it might be a little something. I consider Smallville as having three eras to be honest but we have officially reached Era and Phase number two!

2022-03-24 03:52:20 +0000 UTCI can't wait to watch your reaction to this episode and just the next stretch of episodes! Sigh of relief for getting through that tough patch of episodes. Season 4 is a season in general that I didn't love all that much. I loved the introduction of Lois Lane (although you didn't). I loved the introduction of Jason Teague and found the character destruction of his character ridiculous and it does not matter how many times that I rewatch this season, I still don't get it! I still have that love for him and Lana/Jason at the beginning of the season... Also since season 4 is over I guess we can finally confirm to you that Jensen Ackles was supposed to stay on this show much longer however he booked Supernatural! So they had to write him off way more quickly than intended I believe. They knew pretty early in advance about SPN and I remember the message boards being so divided as to what would happen to Jason at this time. However for me I still can't take the writers off the hook, I would've rather they found a way to write Jason off as a hero and not destroy his character on the way out and rush Lana/Clark together as they did... just how I felt. For us who watched this live. Smallville was the lead-in for Supernatural during the first few years on the WB network on Thursday Nights. Season 5 of Smallville was airing at 8pm, and Season 1 of Supernatural was airing at 9pm! Great lead-in for a new show! Also, another fun fact for you just in case you didn't know: Jensen Ackles auditioned to be Clark Kent! He didn't get the role because obviously, that went to Tom Welling but when they finally had a role for Jensen, they had him come in as Coach Jason Teague. You are in for a ride and you will see what I meant about how this show has the many eras. It's so fascinating. Now let me watch this reaction to which was a great season finale! I hope you like it.
