2022-12-11 21:55:55 +0000 UTCI know it’s been a long time since you posted this I’m just getting around to watching it now and of course I’ve been watching the OC since it was on TV back in the 2000s but I do have to say I love this episode and I’m not through watching your version yet but I do love the score that they bring in from the first episode into the last episode. You’ll notice little things here and there like when Ryan and Seth hug it’s the same sound as when they first met and different things like that and I just love how they tied that into the finale.

2022-05-01 00:32:39 +0000 UTCso true! i feel it wouldve been an interesting season 5 to see them 7 years later as full grown adults but the way this ended is perfect in my opinon. Seth and Summer got married, Ryan got a good ending too with his full circle moment like it ended on a happy note for pretty much everyone.

2022-03-26 05:53:08 +0000 UTCThank you for watching The OC ! You had no idea what it was when I first requested it and here you are wanting another season :-) It had its ups and downs, but ultimately had a great finale. If you do decide to watch Gossip Girl you'll see Adam Brody's (Seth) wife Leighton Meester - she is one of the two main characters in GG - she plays Blair Waldorf.

2022-03-25 23:00:02 +0000 UTCI've grown old, started a family, and built a decent retirement fund in the time I've been waiting for the last chunk of Pushing Daisies episodes to be watched on here :(

2022-03-25 12:11:17 +0000 UTCThis show had soooo many ups and downs, but re-watching it with you has been a great ride throughout! Thanks for that! And yeah I would have totally watched a "7 years later" S5, but then that would undo what was pretty much a perfect ending, imo.

2022-03-25 01:51:42 +0000 UTCI'm just sad about reaching the finale, it's been a long ride but also a good one. Thanks Steven 🙏 Gossip Girl is a teen drama about rich families but apart from that, it's not at all like the O.C. I've seen the first two seasons of GG but never felt the need to continue it, not sure if I'll stay and watch along now. Actually I don't think there are any shows on Patreon for me at the moment, since I stopped watching the OUAT and Doctor Who reactions a long time ago (not because of Steven or anything), and Heroes, Orphan Black and Pushing Daisies are all on the back burner. Hopefully they'll get picked back up in the near future :)

2022-03-24 09:59:10 +0000 UTCMaybe Bullit just wanted to stay and support the family in all the ways he could (he loves both Julie and Kaitlin), or MAYBE Bullit, Frank and Julie have some sort of poly relationship going on. Maybe.

2022-03-24 09:44:43 +0000 UTCI love the Bullit too, he's funny as hell and has a pretty good heart too. At least he cares for the Cooper-Cohen family a lot. The line "No thanks Kirsten, I'm lactose intolerant" is so bad but soo good 😆

2022-03-24 09:42:45 +0000 UTCI'm so glad you enjoyed the last episodes. This show meant and still means a lot to me. In my mind Ryan and Taylor ended up together at least in some way, they may not have gotten married but I think they maintained a romantic relationship. But that's just my headcanon. Kirsten and Sandy's daughter was named Sophie Rose, Sophie after the Nana (Sandy's mom). I absolutely would've watched the shit out of a 5th season. But also the ending they wrote for Ryan is perfect the way it is.

2022-03-24 09:41:02 +0000 UTCSo some interesting stuff about the OC ending. They cancelled the show during the middle of the production. So the creator was able to close things out in the way he felt best. There was a fan petition that got a ton of signatures and there were talks about continuing the show on the cw but the cw decided against it. There was a ton of behind the scenes drama with the show and they had their own slate of great tv shows during that era. The wink at Summer and seth's wedding implies that they still have something going on but it was never supposed to be explicit. We never know if they got together or not. The creator of the show came out years later and said that he thought Ryan would end up with Marissa's gf from season 2 (the character olivia wilde played). I think the last 10 minutes of the show really elevate the finale. The first like 3/4ths is like any other OC episode but with a lot going on and then the last portion gets really sentimental. I think Ryan walking through the house and seeing those flashbacks is a top tier tv moment.
