Rachel wanting to do tv/film immediately after the run of her show never made any sense to me. Rachel is Broadway through and through. I think there are a couple of things she could have been thinking about... Funny Girl is a revival. It would be cool to see her audition for a new musical off-Broadway that then moved to Broadway. So, she would be the originator of the role... Or, maybe she would decide to do a straight play to prove to people she could be versatile... maybe a Shakespeare adaptation or another revival. It would be interesting to see if Rachel auditioned for parts and DIDN'T get it... like Maria in West Side Story, or Elphaba in Wicked. In order for me to buy this whole tv/film thing, it would have to be the film adaptation of a musical, a live-action Disney movie or something more like a children's film. I understand that they're trying to tell the story about Person getting everything they've always wanted and still feeling unfulfilled, but meh. It doesn't work here. It's just bad writing. Especially with Rachel assuming the show is a musical?? Suddenly, she's not able to do a cold read? Idk.. they were just doing anything at this point. But Pezberry for the win, I guess? In other news, the music this episode was phenomenal! I say this every time, but Blaine is just so talented. I can see why June automatically gravitated to him.
