Where exactly do they talk about it? I think I remember seeing like an interview where they discussed it, but I really don't remember what interview it was or where it could be found.

since you brought it up, i don't want to spoil anything, so i'll just say this - eugene and dan have spoken about their inclusion or exclusion of homophobia in the show and the choice and intention behind that decision, if you're ever interested in checking that out and looking into what they say and the choice they make.

Great episode! In answer to your question (if you read these): When he moved to Schitt's Creek, Patrick rented a room in Ray's house, and helped him out with some of the many little businesses Ray has (Ray does real estate, photography, home organization, and corporate paperwork, probably among other things). When Patrick got involved with David's store, he obtained grant money for it (because it's helping local vendors), which enabled him to quit working for Ray, and work at the store full-time. And I agree, this episode has two classic comedy sequences: Johnny talking to Alexis about parenthood while she thinks they're talking about community college; and David, Patrick, Jake, and Alexis encountering each other at her apartment. Great stuff.
