Nice to see you getting back to this show! Far as your confusion goes, the show liked to do standalone "holiday specials" that aired kinda months apart from the rest of the seasons. The Xmas one they did before was one, and the next one is another Xmas one I believe as well. In those episodes, the relationship/main plot stuff is put on hold to be dealt with the in main season. I'm pretty sure the episode listed as 4x3 here is the "actual" season 4 premiere that will pick up the threads from the S3 finale.
