I don't agree that Lorelai was being childish by avoiding Luke. She's been the only one trying for MONTHS to make things work with Luke. She was mad that he kept April a secret for 2 months and yet she still wanted to make it work from the get go, he kept April from her when EVERYONE else got to meet her for the most immature reason (she'll like Lorelai better than Luke), and when Anna got pissed that there was a woman, his fiance, present at a sleepover for a bunch of 13 year old girls instead of just one 40 year old man, he didn't defend Lorelai or make her feel better. It's clear he's not ready for marriage and maybe especially not marriage with her, which is crazy because Luke has always been commitment guy (remember Rachel?) and he's been pining for Lorelai for forever. ASP really screwed up his character and their relationship. But from where we're at here, Lorelai should be ghosting Luke cuz I can tell She's just DONE trying for the both of them.

The music things was more about comedic filler... Lane and Zack had still been in their honeymoon.

If in Lorelais head they were done then it was not cheating.

I also think it was awful of Christofer to take advantage of lorelei, she was engaged, he knew that, she was heartbroken, and he should have been a better friend. He knew she would reget it.

I agree it is embarrasing to watch Rory try to impress and be like Logan, but I think it is very realistic. but I miss the old Rory, would be nice to see that just a bit!

Of course it was cheating! And Lorelai runs to an ex for comfort…and we wonder why Rory does what she does. I thought the party was awful…hearing Rorys fake accent and try to be a partygirl to please Logan is cringeworthy. I feel like this was Amy and Dans parting revenge…like here you go…fix this mess. And as for Jess, well as Milo commented once, it’s never over. Even though season 7 bores me no end I will stick around and watch our reviewer here suffer through it 😂.

Yeah, reminds me of something in the AYITL episodes. I won't say what as it's spoilery, but it is also truly awful and took up way too much time. SMH.

It was cheating. The trubadurs were terrible, it was probably an idea in the writers room that went to far, i think some of the writers or producers were the musicians. Took half the episode!

The ending argument was handled poorly on both sides but I slightly lean towards supporting Lorelai (on the argument not the sleeping with Christopher). She should have approached it more level headedly but I understand that at this point, emotions are ruling out. Luke had previously said elopment was OK, but with a lot of things in this season, he says one thing and then says either something different or something weird that makes it feel like he doesn't actually care all that much. Especially given that she was the one to propose to him. He still said he had April to consider but I have no idea how them being married would make things worse. Especailly when Lorelai can't even be near April until they are. That said, I don't think it was good that she went off with Christopher after that. A good nights rest could have done both of them some good and come back to this conversation from a less emotional point. You're right that it's just like the Logan situation. Where in her mind (like in Logans) it was over but the other person doesn't necessarily realize that. It was wrong of Logan and wrong of Lorelai.

"Musical guests include Sonic Youth, Sam Phillips, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Yo La Tengo, Sparks, Joe Pernice and Dave Gruber Allen. Daniel Palladino sings with one of the many troubadour groups flooding Stars Hollow, singing the infamous line 'Doctor, give me rum, cause a beaver ate my thumb'" https://gilmoregirls.fandom.com/wiki/Partings :D (I was all about the Gilmore Girls soundtrack back in My Youth)

IMHO it was *cheating* by definition because there was no finality to the Luke/Lorelai relationship, but she was intentional with her words and he made his choice. I’m not saying I condone what Lorelai did with Christopher, but I understand it…it’s the whole “best way to get over the last one is to get underneath the next one” that only makes everything worse. Christopher has always been Lorelai’s “backup”, they’ve remained pretty solid all these years so that choice makes perfect sense. The Rory/Logan storyline is pretty fitting, his future was pre-planned and like most adults he has graduated and it’s time for him to grow up. I’m sure there are tons of long distance after school relationships, a breakup isn’t necessary just because someone is moving away, it’s all about figuring out how to make it work. For me the episode was a 50/50, the troubadours were 110% unnecessary and wayyyyy too drawn out.
