No no no, the fantasy boy draft doesn't mean whoever you pick, you get to nail. Whoever you pick is off limits to other girls. What you do with the boy and what the boy consents to doing with you is entirely up to them. Like Peyton picked Mouth. She doesn't wanna bang Mouth, she just wants to hang out with him and give him a popularity boost. Brooke just did that so the girls wouldn't fight over the boys anymore, as evidence by the fight between Bevin and that other cheerleader in the beginning of the episode. As for Brooke and Rachel's rivalry: Brooke still gets to be Brooke. Her personality didn't fade away just bc she figured out that she can do more than that. She is still the captain of the squad and she is still flirty and fun. She just also knows that she can do more than just that.

2022-04-20 08:29:11 +0000 UTCI really enjoyed the episode! It was a lot of fun. I do think you're being a little too harsh on Brooke. Seeing her pass a note in class isn't the end of the world. She can still be a good person, but be fun and lighthearted. Could they show her doing more presidential things? Sure? But, that doesn't mean she still doesn't care about boys and having fun. The whole getting too drunk to remember what happened to her and purposefully meddling in other people's lives? That's the thing of the past. I do think, however, that Lucas does make her uniquely insecure, but that is something I'll return to much much later. And technically, Brooke isn't allowed to go after Lucas, which is the problem. And although Luke doesn't HAVE to go after Rachel, Brooke still is very insecure and doesn't trust him, so she does think, and rightfully so, that this is not a good thing for them. Plus, Rachel is 100% going to go after Lucas regardless, and it is possible that she will become irresistible to Lucas after awhile. Again, all comes back to Brooke's insecurity because of what Lucas did to her in Season 1.
