I had seen a handful of Star Trek episodes but not that many. I knew a few of the few popular aspects of it but that's about it. But I 100% loved this movie. From an outside perspective I think it tied in iconic aspects with a fresh twist to make it fun for a large range of viewerships. I also liked that Ahora didn't end up with Kirk. That would be the obvious thing and it went against that. All in all a really fun movie.
