The next 2 episodes aren't really the best, but i think the story really picks up in episode 6! Especially with Bay's storyline! Great reaction, I really enjoyed it!

I think it set an interesting foundation for Daphne in terms of what a father is supposed to be like, and why she's leaning into that relationship so hard. I'm pretty sure when I first watched that I was into Bay and Ty. But I was also like, 13. This time around, they're underwhelming, but still kinda work. They're the kids from the opposite side of the tracks and Bay wants to feel a connection to her childhood and that neighborhood and being "authentic." Ty liked her art and her charisma. I don't think it's moving too quickly because they're kind of still just hanging out, you know? I think in terms of Ty and Daphne, they're actually not very close. Ty is more of a family friend than anything. So, they're super familiar with each other but not like, the closest of friends. I think the whole "he's like my big brother thing" is just a throwaway line. Regarding Bay and Ty's disagreement, I don't think he spoke to her at all like they've known each other for years. He spoke to her like they actually don't know each other well. And they don't. They're just teenagers and he was frustrated that she came at him with money like that. It's the exact kind of blow-up that happens when you don't know someone very well, but have something going on with them.

I do remember watching it the first time and not minding Ty and Bay moving quickly, though it's just kissing. They're young and hormones are probably all over the place. I actually get annoyed with shows that take 1-3+ seasons for characters to get together lol.
