I never agree with Elena on anything, but in this one situation she had a point (I feel icky saying that out loud). Caroline used an innocent person as a non-consensual guinea pig (guess we can just slide right past that annoying hypocrisy) and then without waiting any amount of time to observe she immediately assumes it works after like 2 seconds.

I didn’t think it would be just we unite whoever is stronger is just the person in control. I would have rather have seen something to show why Kai is stronger. Idk maybe what I wanted doesn’t make sense but Luke going in confident and then just not waking up left me wanting to see what happen

One wakes and one dies although traits from the one that dies transfers to the one that wins. Now as for Damon’s plan, I thought it was a great plan. Damon loves Liz. If the only way to prolong her life for as long as possible was to get Kai to siphon the magic and sacrifice Luke and Liv then so be it. It’s Damon, he doesn’t give a damn about them so why wouldn’t he sacrifice them to save Liz. Liz is still dying, the goal was to stop the the vampire blood from speeding up her death, dassit 🥴
