I did not like Maddy at all in Season 1, but I never thought she was a horrible person. She just happens to be in a trauma bond with one of the worst people on the planet lol In terms of her being loved by the fandom, well, she very much fits into a specific teen drama archetype that a lot of people will always like. She's kind of the mean girl and definitely the "bad bitch' type and people latch onto that.

2022-05-05 22:57:25 +0000 UTCi agree with you about maddy. she's terrible. oddly enough there is a whole subset of people in the euphoria fandom who adore her and think she's awesome lol. i don't get the love. i find her insufferable. and im glad to hear someone else say it too. she's not as bad as nate obviously, but she's still unlikable imo.

He may have a more likable personality but he’s no better than the other characters. He’s still selling drugs to minors and involving his kid brother in that world.

2022-05-05 04:23:47 +0000 UTCHonestly, this is my favorite episode of the season (and probably the most iconic one as well). I think this is the epitome of what makes Euphoria, Euphoria. They mention that Jules and Kat went to summer school together (in the first episode probably) and became friends then. I think they've had small moments here and there. Cassie never slept with Nate... Cassie's sex tapes had been released, from when she had sex with her previous boyfriends, and Nate was talking sh!t about it in the first episode. That's what McKay was referring to. Cassie was upset that McKay also thought about her in the same way that Nate did, just because her tapes got leaked without her consent and people saw them. Maddy was definitely crying at the end. I promise you she does not like being abused. Cal immediately went upstairs to see if the Jules tape was there. It wasn't. And Cal was just simply terrified. That's why he approached Jules in that way. He knew that Rue knew and he knew that he could lose EVERYTHING he's worked so hard for. He's one of those guys that touts himself out as a family man and a respected businessman. He genuinely thought that he wouldn't survive this if Jules told on him.

2022-05-05 01:33:22 +0000 UTCwhen maddy was looking in the mirror at her neck she was crying not smiling or giggling lol she didn’t like it. also nate and cassie never fucked, mckay was talking about her leaked nudes and sex videos that she had with another guy. so mckay was basically saying nate was gonna give him shit and talk bad about her for that. this is also based on the life of the writer of the show, sam levinson. he is rue in his life. he overcame drug addiction and all that.
