Nice callback by the way: The actress playing Detective Sawyer was seen all the way back in season two when Lex was trying to bug his father's office and then again in the season three opener when "Kal" was robbing the banks.

2022-05-05 21:18:53 +0000 UTCI grew up watching The Dukes of Hazzard with Bo Duke (Jonathan Kent) and Luke Duke (Senator Jennings). Over the course of that seven-season show they totalled 300+ of that Dodge Charger model. All the way back in season one's Nicodemus, Jonathan was humming the Duke's theme song in the car and there have been references to the "good ol' boys" which is part of the theme song. Lois and clark banter are sooo my fav parts of this ep. like knowing they are destined to be together and seeing how much they despise eachothers presence is funny to watch. Now we get into the great stretch of the season. Im def a clana guy but fuck did i love this type of banter from clois, quality stuff

The guy who plays Jonathan was one of the Duke boys and the guy playing the senator was the other one. So that’s why we got the homage to the Dukes of Hazard when they are driving together in the old school car that was the same model as the classic Duke car (minus the confederate flag)

2022-05-05 03:28:43 +0000 UTCThe mutual horror on Lois and Clarks' faces when they make eye contact at the strip club will always rank up there as one the funniest moments in the show for me. Regarding your question of story progression, I think one of the points of this episode is to establish that Lois and Clark are now friends. At the beginning of the episode Clark says he wouldn't call Lois a friend (when working with Jonathan). At the end Lois thanks Clark and says "you're a really good friend".
