Why are you sorry? Marley is being ridiculous, facts are facts.

2022-05-14 18:38:19 +0000 UTCI got such a big smile on my face when you mentioned that I Need a Hero reminds you of Short Circuit 2 because that's how I was introduced to the song. That was a big case of nostalgia for me.

2022-05-14 17:56:43 +0000 UTCI fully pretend this whole storyline with Marley and Kitty isn't happening every time I get to this point. I just ignore it. It's so dumb and fucked up, it makes me wonder what was said in the writers room for them to decide to bring in a character "Like Quinn, but evil to the point of psychologically damaging." Also, whenever I hear Holding out for a hero, my head goes straight to Shrek 2 lmao. And Heroes by David Bowie is the song Blaine and Sam sing.

2022-05-13 17:34:02 +0000 UTCI thought it was funny to see Marley being so against the whole spandex hero thing, knowing Melissa goes on to being Supergirl. I actually enjoyed this episode more than I did the first time for some reason. I can't really completely disagree with your comments, I think the writers did a really poor job of writing good stories on this show, they can make great episodes, but ongoing storylines or consistent character development, not even a little bit. I will say aside from the writers deciding to make Kitty so obviously evil, storyline wise their trying to focus on the incredibly manipulative side of Kitty, how she can trick you and make you feel uncertain about yourself and decision making, also for someone as insecure as Marley, often times you believe those things people like Kitty tell you so easily because you already believe about yourself. Also, Marley should have been more understanding about Ryder but her insecurity makes it hard for her to believe he's actually busy and not just lying because he's not actually interested. I also hate the eating disorder storyline, I don't really think eating disorders are funny and bulimia can kill you. They had great opportunities to tell a proper, well done eating disorder storyline, with Marley's insecurities, her bullying from the previous school, her mother's well intentioned but maybe not the best decision to encourage Marley not to tell people she's her mother and encouraging her to diet when she really doesn't need to, any of those things could have let to a good storyline instead they went with a soap opera plot of an evil girl tricking her into an eating disorder, which made me highly not like Kitty or the writers.
