You have a lot of good questions and concerns about how they started this season. Most of the questions you have will be answered in the next few episodes. There is another curse (a bit repetitive) that gives our characters cursed personas and names, I don't know why Henry keeps his same name and others don't. The only difference between Emma and Henry is that Emma never lived her life in the Enchanted Forest. Henry just forgets everything because there is another curse. I hope the rest of the season turns out great for you. Season 7 is one of my favorite seasons despite the gigantic cast change.

I enjoyed your reaction to this episode a lot, and I really enjoy this episode a lot too. This episode was very much a reminisce of the Pilot episode because there are several comparisons. From Henry's and Cinderella's first meeting, which is not nearly as beautiful as Snow's and Charming's because let's be honest... I am biased and love them so much, but still enjoyable, to Lucy coming to bring Henry to town to break the curse that's over them like Henry does for Emma, and to the flower being like the clock tower in Storybrooke moving forward, etc... This is most certainly a good start and I was so, so happy to see Colin O'Donoghue, Lana Parrilla, Robert Carlyle, and Jared Gilmore all reprise their roles throughout this episode as well. Both as themselves in this new realm and under their cursed identities. Sadly, the reason for a mjority of the original cast members not coming back is because of contract issues. The entire original cast were initially contracted for six seasons. When their contracts ended, a number of the actors chose not to resign for this final season. Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow) and Josh Dallas (Charming) chose not to come back because they wanted to stay homeand raise their family without acting full time. And Jennifer Morrison (Emma) chose not to sign on again because she was ready to move on to new projects. This is why a mjority of this season has been recasted with all new characters, plus the few actors actors we know and love from seasons one through six who chose to remain in the show for its final season, as they take on new roles... or roles of characters who have become cursed once again to become new characters. Nonetheless... this doesn't necessarily mean we won't be seeing some of the missing actors we love. You may be surprised by the things to come. :) And I really love Andrew J. West who plays adult Henry. I think that the casting is phenomenal for him because Andrew looks so much like Jared grown up and his acting is spit on. He has a lot of Jared's mannerism's, and I just really like how Andrew J. West plays this adult version of Henry. :) As for Cinderella... she's just okay for me. She does a good enough job. I definitely like the twist on her story and I do somewhat see the chemistry between her and Henry, although it's very weak for me. Of course... perhaps it's because I'm once again a bit too biased, given that I am used to, and love both Emma and Killian, as well as Snow and Charming, and Regina and Robin so much. It's hard to get used to a whole new way of thinking with a smaller, less familiar cast this season. Plus... we already have another version of Cinderella from season one's episode... The Price of Gold, and season six's episode... The Other Shoe. So at first, it was hard for me to wrap my head around there being a whole new version of Cinderella, as well as Alice. As for Alice... I didn't really get enough of a feeling of her in this first episode, but she's interesting and intriguing so far. Drizella, we don't really see too much of either., but so far, she's a real witch just like her mother. Lady Tremaine... Cinderella's stepmother and Drizella's mother is great, in a witchy kind of way. She isn't nearly as strong as the Evil Queen is by any means, nor do I like her as I have loved the Evil Queen, Zelena, and Rumplestiltskin back when they first started out as villains, However, Lady Tremaine is a great addition to the show and the actress offers a promising start. As for Lucy... she has definitely grown on me a little since we saw her briefly in the season six finale episodes... The Final Battle Parts One and Two, but I still don't like her nearly as much as I loved Henry from the beginning. And I do like Hook's, Regina's, and Rumple's cursed names and their characters a lot. Officer... now Detective Rogers, Roni, and Detective Weaver. I was so curious about all three of them from the beginning. And I love their cursed personas as well. I was especially excited to see where the partnership between Rogers and Weaver was going when I first watched this episode, and I absolutely hoped to see more between Rogers and Henry. A relationship I've always wished we had seen more of within seasons two through six. I also really looked forward to seeing Weaver's background and what has possibly made him apparently a villain again. Alice speaks very dubiously of Rumplestiltskin. After all, he is still the Dark One. But is he a villain, or something more? And of course... I really looked forward to seeing the development between Roni and Henry, a relationship I have always loved between mother and son. So far... while I am intrigued by seeing you get to know the new characters brought in, I am most interested in seeing your reactions to the development between the characters we know and love from seasons one through six. :) Overall... an excellent beginning, just as Lucy tells Henry... that every story needs a beginning. And this is Henry’s story, which I really love. I can't wait for more reactions from you, especially for the next episode, Steven!!! Episode two is absolutely one of my overall favorite episodes from season seven, so I can't wait!!! Thank you again, so much! Until next time... Sincerely, Heidi

2021-12-28 09:15:07 +0000 UTCThe majority of the characters that we didn’t see here are still in storybrooke, unaware of the curse and we will find out what they’re up to throughout the season, which explains why we didn’t see people like Emma, snow and charming. After season 6 ended a lot of these actors were no longer season regulars
