I mean, I think Felix always sucked, they just tried to give him some depth so the fact that he did this would seem like a big betrayal. And the only person who he was decent too was Brooke, and that's because he liked her. He was pretty shitty to everyone else, particularly Peyton. That's why it never felt up and down to me as a character, but just an ultimate reminder of the kind of douche he is. The more times I rewatch the show, the more of a fan I become of Nathan and Haley. Like those flashbacks are very precious for me to see, especially because of the rough patch they're going through now. It shows that they at least have a solid foundation as partners. I, of course, think they jumped into marriage much too quickly without really thinking about what it all means, but that doesn't mean they didn't have a good partnership.
