2022-01-23 15:25:36 +0000 UTCThis was a great episode and I joined just to watch this reaction. I think it speaks volumes that Amy chose Jess to be the person that gets Rory back on track, and I don’t understand your confusion about why Logan is jealous. They are setting up the new triangle, except cross out Dean and insert Logan, and it’s a shame Amy didn’t get to write season 7 back in the day to watch it play out exactly how she wanted it to. Instead we got her second attempt with the revival. Anyway I am glad to see him appreciate Jess getting his act together and being Rorys voice of reason and soulmate.

2022-01-13 21:21:11 +0000 UTCYeah, there is no excuse for how Logan treated Jess, but if the situation was reversed and Rory came to see Logan go out with a random girl, her reaction would be waaay worse.

2022-01-13 16:25:51 +0000 UTCYeah this episode was not Logan‘s proudest moment. He let his insecurities get the better of him. During their fight I was half on his side though: it WAS Rory‘s choice to quit Yale and he is not responsible for that.

2022-01-13 16:23:59 +0000 UTCNot sure if this is helpful, but Steven has said in some of his intros for show reactions I watch that David and Brian had some schedule challenges, so he moved forward with filming some of the joint reactions alone (like Schitt''s Creek); since David was doing Community by himself (Steven already saw it maybe?), that may be why--the last I see is from December 21st.

2022-01-13 14:17:29 +0000 UTCI agree! Emely and Richard got Rory a job, a big pool house, food, and allot of care and a birthday party. Rory should be respectful and greatful, it was her own fault she was in this mess and they did all they could to help.

2022-01-13 12:58:02 +0000 UTCI love the Emily/Rory fight. That said, I don’t see, other than Emily calling everyone, what Rory has to be mad about. Her grandparents took her in. They are over the top protective, and intrusive, but she knew that going in. I understand Emily being frantic when she finds out Rory never came home. Is she okay? Is she dead in a ditch? I find Rory to be very ungrateful, just because she has finally seen that this isn’t the life she wants! As for Jess and Logan… I have a huge problem with guys being possessive over their girlfriends. (Girls being possessive too) Why doesn’t Logan just whip it out and pee on Rory to mark her as his. Yes, it was a surprise to pull up and find her with an ex boyfriend, but if there is anything in you that feels like you can’t trust her, break up. What the hell are you doing with someone you can’t trust? And if it’s a case of your insecurities, which this is, go to therapy and let the girl catch up with an old friend. Or it might just be a bad day, which get over yourself, and don't take it out on those around you. I think it's both that and being insecure though. Paul Anka is fine. Just has a bug. Never understood the reason why he wanted into Rory’s room, other than maybe to emphasize that this is Lorelai’s kids room, and that’s where he wanted to be… but why is that where he wanted to be?! The shoes always cracked me up, because my pup did this a while before this episode aired. Right after I got him, before I started crating him when I left (he has bad seperation anxiety. He is more secure when crated) I came home to my shoes in the living room, laid out perfectly, left, right, left, right. I was so confused... it was hilarious. This episode always cracks me up and reminds me of him every time I see it. Still have no idea why he did that. He never tried to chew my shoes or anything. Don't think he ever really touched them other than that one time. Great reaction as always!

2022-01-13 12:26:40 +0000 UTC"Why did you drop out of Yale?!" One of my favorite lines in the whole series. I kind of see Logan's point here, other than him being an ass. He's already struggling with his family and responsibilities, but he has Rory. He comes home early to surprise her and she's about to be going out with someone (an ex boyfriend). She doesn't seem happy to see him. No kiss or anything. And he's already irritated with life so it's kind of a perfect storm. He still shouldn't have been such a jerk though.

2022-01-13 12:04:39 +0000 UTCI haven't seen any reactions of GG on Patreon, so I'm only up to YT. I'm not sure what your impression has been of Logan up to this point. Logan to me is a self-entitled, narcissistic A-hole. Never liked him. I get why he is the way he is, pressures from his family, etc, but this episode shows that he's really just a spoilt brat. He has every opportunity to be anything in his life; even if he got cut off, he would still have connections and the family name behind him. He doesn't like being controlled, who does, but he enjoys the lifestyle too much to give it up. This entitled behaviour comes through way too much for me in the way he treats Rory. Jess, yes, was a teenage jerk, but there were more valid reasons, in my opinion, for him to 'act out' in that way. Jess shows growth by the people he has in his life, i.e., Rory and Luke, to become a better person. It will be interesting to see if the same happens with Logan. I'm also glad I've missed the whole Rory dropping out of Yale storyline; it's not my fave.

2022-01-13 10:41:38 +0000 UTCFinally, Rory is waking up. As for Logan: he came home early to surprise his girlfriend and sees her ready to go out with another guy. So he's a little irritated and jealous, which just got heightened by him drinking a lot. It's just a ton of insecurity talking. But he was super rude to Jess and that was not cool. As for the big fights - they were a long time coming and needed to happen. We needed to see someone Rory respects and trusts tell her straight-up (which was Jess). We needed Rory to realise she's wasting her potential (which was the fight with Logan). We needed Rory to finally stand up to Emily bc they have very different approaches to life.

2022-01-13 09:11:58 +0000 UTCAlso the dog is for sure a surrogate for Rory. Not in a dark he has to die for Rory to come back way but in the way that Lorelei was basically childless over night. She sees Rory basically breaking the fabric of her whole character and now the dog is sick. The “how didn’t I see it coming” relates to both. She blames herself for not picking up on the signs in both situations. Also the shoe trail isn’t super important he’s just weird and prop wanted his own bed.

2022-01-13 06:44:30 +0000 UTCI can see why Logan is weird from the jump, I mean he is surprising his girlfriend and pulls up to see her with another guy. Rory doesn’t help by saying “thought you were coming home tomorrow”

2022-01-13 06:41:21 +0000 UTCI’ve been waiting for this episode! I cry everytime Jess tells Rory that he couldn’t have done it without her. I think that’s it’s really special to hear, I’ve had an ex tell me how much me believing him in 100% even after breaking up meant to him. Rory and Jess didn’t have the most healthy romantic relationship but as someone who often finds themselves being friends with their ex boyfriends I think that it’s a super unique friendship. It’s also one that isn’t depicted super well in TV. I was laughing my ass off seeing your face when you realize that Jess is the person that pushes her to go back to school. I think that the fact Jess was a jerk is beneficial here. He wasn’t afraid to call her out and his character was needed. I mean think about it, he’s the one person who hasn’t seen her at all in over a year. The last time she saw him she was super focused on school, so him coming back and learning that she dropped out must’ve been super weird for him. Can we all say Thank GOD for Jess!

2022-01-13 06:41:16 +0000 UTCI love this episode. Rory was finally hit with a sense of reality with the situation she’s in. Seeing Jess come back having published a book. The fight with Logan & Emily was also very real & tense.
2022-01-13 05:36:09 +0000 UTCRory and Emily's fight is one of my favorite scenes of the show. Love this episode!

2022-01-13 05:31:01 +0000 UTCOkay, to clear it up, Jess and Luke made amends after the wedding. He told Luke how grateful he was to him, and asked for forgiveness, which Luke granted, and they parted on really good terms. Rory has been lying to Emily and sleeping at Logan's, not Paris's. The only time she slept at Lane's was the night before that event. Rory last spoke to Jess at Yale when he came and asked her to run away with him and she turned him down. That was over a year ago now, so he's changed a lot since then. He matured, got a job at the publishing place and wrote a book, and he came back to tell her because she is the one who always believed in him and said he could do more, and he wanted to show her that he did it.
