If I remember correctly at the time Community and Glee aired at the same time on Thursday nights, which meant that they competed for ratings. Glee was more popular (and may have just partially helped contribute to Community's low ratings at the time).

2022-01-15 18:29:59 +0000 UTCAs far as I am aware they have never shared a production company, maybe I missed it though. They did film in similar places, and Dan Harmon didn't understand it's success (many of us don't) so he through in jokes here and there.
