I agree that Elena shouldn't have gone with but it in no way impacted whether or not Lexi could come back. I believe she would have gone off to stop Marco either way, because I think she wanted peace more than life, as she's talked about it a lot. It actually, ironically probably impacted Damon coming through, potentially, but even if it didn't impact anyone coming back, she still risked overwhelming Bonnie unnecessarily.

2022-02-25 02:57:37 +0000 UTCAgreed.. the first real time I realised her character could be a bit selfish was when she un-daggered Elijah and he told her he'd found a way to save the life of the doppelganger.. she had no problem going ahead with the plan to kill Klaus after that despite knowing a vampire & a werewolf would also have to die!! It was like.. it's not going to be anyone I know so 🤷♀️

Back when this episode first aired, (2014, maybe?) people were going CRAZY over his death on social media and I wanted to know just what on Earth was happening in this show lol Couple things: Damon woke up in a different place than Elena because he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Elena woke up next to her body, which was still in the car. Damon's body got launched from the car, causing him to wake up in a different location. Then, he was preoccupied with helping Liz, who was in fact really there because people on The Other Side could still interact with the regular world. I think Damon's death didn't hit you as hard because you were hyper-focused on Lexi which is super fair lol But for me, it was kind of obvious that Lexi didn't want to go through. She noticed that Bonnie was super weak and didn't want to go through. She would have rather found peace. That's why I was okay with Lexi finding peace in the end. Damon, on the other hand, as Stefan said, was finally happy, with the prospect of an actual bright future with Elena. Elena losing the love of her life affected me to no end. And come on, Elena choosing to die with Damon, was selfish, but also a gesture of love and devotion.

2022-01-29 01:52:01 +0000 UTCPeople love to talk about how selfish Elena is, and usually I don't agree, but in this instance it was Elena's selfishness that prevented Lexi from coming back. There was absolutely no reason for Elena to add an extra person to bring back by going with Damon. She did absolutely nothing in going. Her being dead and coming back was absolutely pointless but it depleted Bonnie's strength to be able to send another person back.

It just repeated stuff we had in previous seasons and the travelers were just not good villains, especially when you compare them to the likes of Klaus, Katherine or Silas. But I disagree Damon's death hits bc this episode had too many people on the verge of death and Damon just connects too many. Especially Stefan's "he should be here" got me good. Also I just love that Bonnie and Damon went together. It's an unusual thing for them to be united in something so it made a good ending for the season. Season 6 is way WAY better and ranks among the best seasons of this show. So get excited ;)

2022-01-22 10:14:26 +0000 UTCSo when we're talking about supernatural beings dying on this show there are 2 places they can go: "the other side" (where ppl with unfinished business go like Grams or Lexi) and "finding peace" (where we assume all the other people went like Jenna for instance). Now that the other side is collapsing everyone gets sucked into oblivion, but Lexi didn't she just illuminated and disappeared so we can assume she found peace. Which is what her "you're not gonna get me" meant.

Everyone else was sucked away by the darkness besides her & grams bc they were said to have found peace. Also w the Tyler thing, he was the only one who died human after Marcos forced him across the border. Everyone else died while still vampires which is why Tyler is the only one who came back human. Great reaction as always ! I love your love for Lexi lol definitely wish they brought her back

2022-01-22 05:31:23 +0000 UTCYou know, I haven't watched a lot of your vampire diaries reactions because I usually only watch my favorite episodes reactions and for TVD that is 5x22 and after for the most part, but I love seeing that you don't seem to be that much of an Elena fan or at least DXE because I never liked her too much. Hopefully if you are a fan of her I didn't offend you.
