I really don't like Kaitlyn, but I do like her relationship with Bullit. I think she sees him as kind of a father figure...a very rich father figure, but still, she seems to like him. Also, I don't think this has been mentioned, yet, but do you recognize Bullit from Angel ? He is Fred's father...you met him back in season 3 of Angel.
