Death can't be healed, the Aes Sedai had already passed before they arrived. While Lan and the others hit with debris were either just wounded or dying, but not yet Dead. Healing a one serious wound is tough, healing multiple people at the same time takes a vast amount of power, but also a huge amount of skill. When we see Morraine defend the Village in the first episode, you can notice that each attack is an individual attack. She not doing multiple things at once. And Morraine is one of the five strongest current Aes Sedai, so she's powerful. Here we see Nyneave healing multiple people all at one time. That's massive display of power. We also get a bit of dialogue were we see Morraine estimate the power level of two characters Logain and Egwene. Woman can sense the power level of another women when she uses her power (so she got a brief look at Egwene potential when she channeled briefly in the 2nd episode). And she suspects that Logain isn't as strong as Egwene (based on two of the stronger current Aes Sedai being needed to shield Logain. And yes, they shield him from being able to use his power. And when they said they used air to block his hearing, it was so that he wouldn't be able to listen to any of their conversations.
