excellent points

So to touch on a few things. 1) Yes, you are supposed to feel like Barnum is a bad guy. He basically used people to climb the ranks socially. He started out with good intentions but as he gained success, it was never enough for him and he had to become even more famous and highly regarded. So the entire middle of the movie they want you to think 'What a jerk this guy is' 2) When Barnum returns home and his wife see's the photo in the newspaper. You say 'He didn't even say nothing happened', if you watch that scene again I think you will see that you just missed it. As soon as he walks in he says it to her and then follows it up with 'I'm not in love with her'. I don't believe we are supposed to think they were ever romantically involved. I believe we are supposed to think he had feelings for her possibly at points but never acted on it. She got mad at him because spending all that time with him she fell in love with him and thought he loved her back, then when he rejected her she felt embarrassed and hurt so she quit the tour. 3) I don't think you missed a ton with Zach/Zendaya. You said it seems like it jumped over a big part of their relationship but I think it shows it. They originally meet when he joins the circus, he's constantly looking at her and being flirty but that's the extent of it, then during the concert he makes his move by trying to hold her hand, but pulls away when someone stares at them. That makes her upset because he is embarrassed to be seen in public with her because of her skin color. He tries to apologize by surprising her at the theater and then chases after her when his parents disrespect her. He confesses his feelings during their song and she basically says 'I love you too, but I won't be with you'. Then once she almost loses him in the fire they get together. I think perhaps you felt their relationship was more advanced and further along then it was but it was really just in the infant stages of flirting when you made that comment. I agree with you on the music though, I was just having this conversation with a friend two days ago and I said 'I don't know if Greatest Showman is my favorite musical, but I think it may be the musical that has the greatest song collection top to bottom' (Rent is only thing competing with it as my favorite) I'm so glad you reacted to this movie though. It is one of my favorites of all time and I check every month or so to see if I can find any new reactions to it. I was so pumped when I saw you did one! Thank you for watching this and reacting for us!
