You are not the first person I've seen have this reaction to the episodes resolution. Really liking 90% but perhaps seeing the ending as too rushed, flawed, badly written or what ever ect ect ect.... Basically unsatisfying. As with them, I see your position. It's human nature to feel the need for some sense of precieved justice against such an atrocity. However... The imbalance in that argument, as I see it. Is that the Vardy are a product of human creation. Built to serve and illfully programmed with quite a specific set of vastly too narrow set of directions. Something similar to Asimov's laws would have prevented such an out come. Do you smash up your toaster if it fails to make you a cup of coffee? Or burns you if you stick your hand inside it when it's on? Of course not, the fault is yours. The more important question is did they envision or programme their servants to have sentience? They will have to come to terms with realisation that it was their negligence or inexperience that caused the death of their family and friends. But that's just how I see it.
