Just like Santana said it, pointless voting, lol. Also, the Mercedes line was because she'd won Dancing with the Stars which was a missing opportunity to do something wth The Troubletones.

I'm glad Quinn had a storyline again but hate that she was paired with Puck at the end, which doesn't even make any sense: "Stay".... where exactly? She's in NY and he's supposed to be in the Air Force academy unless of course he got his uniform in a costumes shop, most likely scenario since I'm pretty sure one has to have good grades to join Air force. 3. Mercedes vs Rachel..... Boring much. She's feuding with Santana and now with Mercedes but then she plays the victim. Rachel's got issues. If she was so upset about what Santana said, well, go ahead and slap her, but she knows whatever she said was true, (except for the stubble thing which was plain trolling and hilarious), and this time there were many eye witnesses so.... she better stormed out crying. 4. Brittany/Santana. So we had 3 scenes where Brittana's dialogue was only about how Brit was off because of MIT. Didn't they address exactly the same on season 4 final episode? Not even counting the Britney 2.0 meltdown. What a waste of reel! One mention of it was enough but apparently they can't write a proper dialogue between them and when they do, Brittany walks away for no reason instead of actually keep the conversation going. 5. It bothers me that they placed Finn's picture next to that lady nobody knows or cares about. The audience doesn't know her as she had zero impact on the Glee club. Like why is she even up there? Was she Ryan Murphy's aunt? 6. All of them being there for 2 weeks, like really? They stopped rehearsals at Funny girls, they got vacations from the restaurant, days off from Nyada.... That's absurd. Nothing really happened in this episode, nothing was resolved, except for the Quinn/Puck stuff, something nobody asked for. The rest didn't even speak or had any lines.

2022-02-23 07:26:36 +0000 UTCI have a love/hate relationship with this episode. It was great to see so much of the old cast back doing new versions of the songs, but I hate all the ridiculous drama. Rachel vs. Santana (I don't side with either of them in the whole understudy debacle), Rachel vs. Mercedes (did we really need to bring up that old rivalry again?), Quinn's love triangle, and honestly, I might be alone on this, but I don't care about Brittany and Santana reconnecting. I've never really cared for Brittany or her and Santana's relationship. I still wish they would've made Santana and Quinn a real thing.

Santana, but I’m not a fan of us pretending that Rachel’s condescending attitude, constantly asserting that she’s better than everyone else, and her tantrums when she didn’t get a solo are not just annoying, but also belittles others and makes them feel small. Santana is mean and a bully, sure, but Rachel is definitely not an innocent victim in all of this. She may not hurl insults at people like Santana, but the way she conducts herself is just as insulting to others. And I’m not even mentioning her racist and homophobic remarks over the year that were certainly uncalled for.

2022-02-22 12:01:11 +0000 UTCHow can anyone still defend Santana's behavior? I like her charachter (love Naya!), and I enjoy her lines, but she's such a bully. I don't care if you/me agree thinks Rachel can be annoying (still love her aswell), but that is not relevant. It doesn't excuse Santana's cruilty one bit. And yeah, so Rachel replied "you're just jelous" but with tears in her eyes and ran out to cry. So much hurt being around her high school bully. I feel so much for her, and any other member being bullied. I just don't understand how anyone doesn't see how mean she is. Even though I often laugh and enjoy it you can't deny the extreme bullying.

2022-02-22 11:39:01 +0000 UTCi love how Quinn hasn't changed ONE BIT since high school lol always lying to a boy and wanting to be the popular one... well, tbh, not a lot of them changed, Mercedes is still competing against Rachel, Puck always chasing around Quinn and beating people around the trash, Santana is always in love with Brittany and jealous of Rachel, Kurt is still stuck in the middle of a friendship... i mean they're around 19 but still no growth... maybe Brittany being an actual genius is the biggest growth on the show... and Biff is a jerk but the "you carry your past with you" is a damn good advice! and Quinn was only after his money... anyway, it felt good to see Nate Archibald back from gossip girl lol

2022-02-22 08:20:20 +0000 UTCthat was so out of line from Santana, once again... it wasn't about her, but she made it about her! i agree that we don't care about the competition anymore, but Rachel and Mercedes wanted it... but idk why Kurt was in it lol? also Rachel not knowing Ryder's name made me laugh sooo much lol i mean, i get it, she only came back to the school twice, not like every other old glee club member, one was for the musical play for like 30sec and one was for the Finn episode, i don't think knowing names was her priority..

Watching now that I'm older it is harder to ignore the offensive stereotypes Glee leaned into especially when it comes to the character of Mercedes. Most of the time the diva offs only served the purpose of coddling and stroking Rachel's ego. I think Mercedes was just as talented as Rachel and I wish the show would have celebrated her talents more instead of forcing storylines that constantly claimed Rachel deserves it more because she works harder and Mercedes is lazy. With that being said I really enjoy the second half of the season.

Why even come up with that story-line of her not dancing well when she was fine dancing all of season 1 and 2? Now she was a "secretly good dancer" because they know painting her as a lazy performer was dumb. This show always does the Mercedes vs Rachel thing aggressively first half of every episode that the story line revolves around their voices then it ends in Mercedes kissing Rachel's ass or "we're both good." Pointless, pointless, and pointless...

2022-02-22 04:52:34 +0000 UTClove this episode so much🥲 definitely brings you back to the old days. all the songs they performed were my favs too. and ofc i love the quinn-puck romance. because as shitty characters they were in season 1 they both accepted each other no matter their flaws and weren’t afraid to show each other their ugly side. and during quinn’s depression in season 3, puck was there for her.

This episode as well as the next episode definitely feel like episodes from Seasons 1-3. Your reaction when songs were performed this episode were great and also love that you have a Glee playlist (I don't think you can be a fan of Glee and not have a playlist lol). I definitely have my own playlist as well and there are certain songs from Glee I've listened to so many times (I know for a fact I've listened to "Rumour Has It/Someone Like You" more than any other song that was performed on Glee). I think rather people love or hate Glee there is no denying they did so many great covers on this show.
