The dopplegänger line goes in this order, starting from the first Immortal that we know of: 1) Amara (Who Silas made immortal with Qetsyiah's potion and then became the Anchor) 2) Tatia (Who Klaus and Elijah mentioned in TVD was their first love and who they fought over as humans. Her blood was used in the spell to make Original Vampires.) 3) Katerina/Katherine (Who met Klaus and Elijah in the 1400s. This was when Klaus was looking for a way to break his hybrid curse. Elijah fell in love with her also.) 4) Elena (The present day dopplegänger.)

You missed a couple things but there was a door bloodied when his mom gave him a rag to wipe himself that was the first instance of the "red door". Esther told him he was a good boy and to keep himself clean and the rag symbolizes the handkerchief he carries around with him, and his elegant (clean) look is literally because of that. The dopple-ganger's name was Tatia, it wasn't Katherina, this took place before Katherine. Oh & i'm not sure where you are getting the Camille, Klaus, Marcel love triangle feel cuz the show barely pushed that in the beginning of season 1 but since then the characters relationship with camille were seen as very separate things. It's the same thing with your view on the Klaus, Elijah, Haley relationship. I understood it in the initially but its very clear that Klaus doesn't feel that way for haley and vice versa since like the beginning of season 1 lol
