Yeah, re-watching this Nathan definitely over-reacted. Sure, Lucas lied about messing around with Dan, but to blame Lucas for his bad choice of moving back in, is silly. Also, he never lied about visiting Haley? He just hadn't gotten around to telling him yet... And either way, Lucas has a right to visit her regardless? They're best friends lol Also, are we totally going to ignore all the times Nathan was shitty to Lucas and now because Lucas made one "mistake" he's cutting him out? But yes, Lucas' excuse for keeping Peyton's stuff was so bad lol But sure, if that is what he needs to tell himself lol

I'm 50/50. I thought he over-reacted and also reacted appropriately for what he was going through. He hasn't been able to trust anyone. So in everyone elses eyes it's an overreaction but to him personally it's just a reaction. Which is human and normal. I think it would have been weird if he had been OK with everything that had happened.

as a whole i think season 2 is one of the weaker seasons but it sets up a lot of storylines for season 3...which is widely regarded as the show's best season. so glad we're finally here!

I agree. Great relationships and friendships were developed from the effects of season 2.

Season 2 is really strange. On one hand, I don't really enjoy it. But on the other, I find this season necessary because it creates a strong set up for next seasons. And I wouldn't change a thing :)

I don't think an overreaction is when you have no motive. I think an overreaction is a more severe reaction than was appropriate/necessary. He had his reasons to be upset, but I was never thrilled that he aimed all of it at Lucas, who has done nothing but try to help Nathan all season long. I always thought that Nathan overreacted.

Regarding Nathan, especially given all the reasons you, yourself stated, it would make it not an overreaction :) Overreaction is when you have no motive and Nathan had plenty. He said so himself, he doesn't need that in his life.

I remember speculating who was responsible for the fire and Dan made so many enemies , it could be everyone. Deb, Keith, Lucas and Andy were probably the most memorable suspects.

I really liked this finale, lots of suspects for who set the fire. Keith, Andy, Whitey, Nathan, Lucas, Deb, everyone basically. Nathan cutting Lucas out of his life is an overreaction, but I think it makes sense he's overreacting. His dad has lied and manipulated him, his mom has done it, Haley did it and now so did Lucas, so yes he's overreacting but it makes sense. Anyway I liked this episode and I'm glad season 2 is over, it's not my favorite season and I don't usually rewatch it on my own and I skip it with reactors, largely because I find it a bit boring with characters they don't use properly although I did forget that I actually liked Andy. Also their is usually a lot of Haley hate and she's one of my favorite characters and even though I was disappointed with her character choices this season, I still didn't hate the character and a lot of reactors hate her so much they want her gone from the show forever, so that's not my favorite thing to watch. Anyway I can't wait for the next season.
