2022-03-01 19:01:11 +0000 UTCThe point with the lights during I Am Changing was to put a spotlight on both Rachel and Santana lol That was the whole point they were singing that song - to get them to make up. Also, I Am Changing is from Dreamgirls - same as And I Am Telling You sung by Mercedes in Season 1, Listen sung by Sunshine in Season 2, and It's All Over sung by the New Directions in Season 3. Loser Like Me is an original Glee song from Season 2! They sung it at Regionals.

2022-03-01 08:19:35 +0000 UTCRatings for Glee had been dropping since mid part of season 2 (specifically the Super Bowl show), but it wasn't until 2/3rd of the way through the 4th season that they took significant drops, those drops increased during the early part of the 5th season. The actor who plays Will had wanted time to do other projects, but that was fine as Cory's character was designed to become a teacher and would have helped steer the Lima side of the stories. Unfortunately his death ruined that. They decided that out of the two storylines the one that focused more on the original characters was connecting more to the audience (it's never easy to introduce a large number of new characters at one time). And since the new characters weren't series regulars, but guest stars they probably already were in enough episodes to cover any contracts that included play or pay terms. Now the downside of all this, is they switched gears during the production of the season (usually these things will occur off season where producers can plan out storylines, and get rough ideas on where they want the characters to go through the season). It's much more difficult to completely upend your show during the production, and as such it shows with the story telling.

2022-03-01 06:29:26 +0000 UTCThe rest of Season 5 is a hit or miss but by watching your reactions I know you will enjoy most of it and Season 6 is my second favorite season and for some people it’s their favorite or it will be the worst one so i’m curious of your thoughts on that upcoming season

2022-03-01 04:31:24 +0000 UTCI agree with you about seeing high school last for so many seasons on a show especially when it's clear none of the "kids" are anywhere near high school age. I think the new shift is a brave choice. Is what they do perfect for the rest of the season? No, but I do enjoy it for the most part. I can't wait to see your reactions to the rest of the season.

2022-03-01 03:22:58 +0000 UTCso yes you’re right about the new shift. it’s going to be very different but i enjoy it. i don’t like watching a show where there’s like 6 seasons of high school. i like to see them after and where they go with college or whatever they do in life. ratings dropped a lot during this season and i think they just wanted to try to follow our main og’s more to see if ratings would come back up. but this ending was beautiful. wouldn’t have mind if it was the series finale tbh. but there’s still a few episodes that are really good though.
