im a bit behind but i have always hated jenny but for some reason i kinda like the nate/jenny thing

2022-10-26 14:33:07 +0000 UTCYes Jenny was lucky that Lily was entertained, but she was also willing to take a risk which is what I admire and Dan also admitted to wishing he could be. She’s younger but has proven that when she puts her mind to it she can do extraordinary things. Nate is older but does nothing with his life because he’s been handed everything. Dan and Jenny have to work for what they want. You’re right, Rufus didn’t know about Dan’s arrest. But he should have. That’s my point. He lets Dan do whatever he wants and keeps a watchful eye on Jenny at all times. Granted Dan is usually responsible or “safe” and a little older but it’s also because he’s a boy. In an ideal world Dan and Jenny would be treated a little more equally but there is considerably more pressure on Jenny from the world and we’ve seen her screw up trying to please that world. But this time she did what she wanted to do and I love that. Also Rufus puts Jenny in the richest snobbiest school in the city and expects her to not be affected by that lifestyle? That’s why she’s been struggling and making terrible decisions. But she broke away from that world in this episode and rebeled against the Blairs and Serena’s and even the Lilys of the world. It was definitely disrespectful but it was bold and it paid off. Jenny will always be Rufus’s little girl in his eyes and she’ll always have to work harder to prove she’s more than that. She doesn’t always go about it the right way but she’s fun to watch. For me at least😂👍🏼 It’s fun rewatching this.

Second, Dan was more worried than anything about Jenny because she is younger and his sister, unlike Nate who is older and only his friend (and not a long-time friend at that). Also, Jenny was lucky that Lily was hosting that event, cause otherwise this could have turned out differently.

2022-09-27 03:56:07 +0000 UTCAgreed! Love Jenny. She and Dan are the only ones with goals. But Jenny actually goes for what she wants. It’s admirable. She’s not perfect but none of the characters are and at this point she spends most of her time going after career goals unlike Serena and Blair who waste their time on unavailable guys. I think Taylor was one of the best actresses on the show. Also her fashion gets more and more fire. I love when Vanessa told Dan that he’s hard on Jenny for going for what she wants but he gives Nate a pass when he’s done some very questionable things. Also Rufus is harder on Jenny because she’s a girl. Dan got into a fight and got arrested and had no consequences. Jenny pursues her career relentlessly and gets punished.

That's all I'll say about that and her situation... Ah, we begin the Nate Nonsense as I like to call it. Giving his love out for free to everyone without thinking about the repercussions. Vanessa, Jenny, Blair, Serena – everybody gets a slice lmaoo Serena is another one. She's got Daddy and Mommy issues and you know how that goes. Sees the worth in everyone else but herself, so she falls for guys who ain't sh*t. I stand by what I said about that guy, he gives me creepy vibes. Just the actor overall🤢 Your reaction to this episode is what I feel to the 'T' even to this day, years later.

2022-09-27 03:20:16 +0000 UTCJenny is actually one of the best characters in my opinion. She was a wild card character and those are the best when it comes to soap opera type shows like this. She went from trying to be to a Blair wannabe to being a rebel. It’s fun watching the rise and downfall of Jenny Humphrey because it makes good drama. This is just a drama show where all the characters are ass. You’re reading into it too much. It’s not a show like one tree hill or dawsons creek. She’s a go getter and does what she wants and stands up for what she believes in. That’s mostly why I like Jenny. A lot of people don’t like her because she usually ate up the “favorite” characters and always came out winning.
